    Abstract: Methods of producing an intraocular lens in vivo comprise preparing a composition of discrete water soluble macromolecular particles, mixing the composition with a water soluble photoinitiator and forming an opthalmically acceptable aqueous solution having a refractive index of at least 1.39, injecting the resulting aqueous solution into the capsular bag of an eye, and initiating crosslinking between the macromolecular particles by irradiation of a wavelength in the range of about 380 to 700 nm to create a lens in the capsular bag.

    Abstract: According to the invention the ophthalmic lens further comprises a refractive part comprising at least one surface, which is configured to compensate a passing wavefront at least partly for at least one type of monochromatic aberration introduced by at least one of the optical parts of the eye. Said diffractive part is capable of compensating a passing wavefront at least partly for chromatic aberration introduced by at least one of the optical parts of the eye. Furthermore said refractive and diffractive parts together contribute to a required power of the lens.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an aqueous ink composition for use in ink jet printers comprising an aqueous carrier, a colorant, a polymeric dispersant, and a specific cosolvent mixture comprising C2-C8 terminal alkanediols with a second component selected from polyethylene glycol-type materials and polyol/alkylene oxide condensates. The ink compositions demonstrate excellent stability, good maintenance characteristics for the printers in which they are used, and excellent optical density and print characteristics.
