  • Patent number: 3966433
Abstract: A purifier having a central core in which is disposed a container for gettering material surrounded by electric heaters. Labyrinth passageways for heat exchange between the incoming and outgoing gases is formed by a series of "cans" which are welded in position and have an increasing end plate diameter and shell diameter from the core outwardly. Interspersed shells provide for incoming (outgoing) gas to pass from one end to the opposite end of a cylindrical passage, then turn around the end of the shell and pass in the opposite direction along the next inner (outer) passage. The incoming gas is transferred between passages by holes in alternate end plates, while the outgoing gas is transferred between one passage and the next outer passage by a "floating" end plate, around the inside circle of which the outgoing gas passes.A second container of gettering material, if desired, operating at a lower temperature can be interposed in the central core, but is insulated from the first container.

  • Patent number: 3954315
Abstract: Both the tracks attached to the inside of the side walls of a cabinet and the slides attached to the outside of the side walls of the drawer are inclined downwardly and outwardly, so that the drawer will normally move outwardly from the cabinet by gravity. A bump or upward arcuate indentation in the top flange of each drawer slide adjacent the front edge thereof will engage the roller of the respective cabinet track to hold the drawer in a closed position. A lip extending downwardly from the upward indentation will raise the drawer upwardly when it is pushed rearwardly, so that release of the drawer will then cause an impetus to be given to the drawer which will carry the indentation over the front roller and the drawer will automatically move to open position.
