Abstract: A brush tip for a motorized toothbrush has a first brush head and a second brush head. The second brush head encircles the first brush head. A shaft has two cranks, each engaging one of the brush heads. Continuous same-direction rotation of the shaft causes the brush heads to counter-rotate about a common axis. Distal ends of the first set of bristles on the first brush head form a circular pattern and the distal ends of the second set of bristles on the second brush head form an elliptical pattern.
Abstract: The glittering ink composition of the present invention contains a glass flake pigment, a water-soluble resin, a water-soluble organic solvent and water as essential ingredients. The content of the glass flake pigment is 0.01-40% by weight relative to the total amount of the ink composition. Moreover, the ink composition contains a synthetic resin emulsion as a binder component for fixing the glass flake pigment to a handwriting or a coated film in 0.01-40% by weight in solids relative to the total amount of the ink composition. The synthetic resin emulsion has an anionic property or a nonionic property and its minimum film forming temperature is not higher than 20° C.

Abstract: A prosthesis in the form of a cage having opposed complimentary bearing surface assemblies. The bearing surface assemblies moveable towards and away from each other. The moving mechanism being part of the bearing surface assemblies. Each of the bearing surface assemblies having an outer bearing surface whereby movement of one bearing surface assembly in one direction will move the bearing surface assemblies away from each other and movement in the opposite direction will move the bearing surface assemblies towards each other.

Abstract: The invention provides a water-based metallic ink composition comprising a metallic powder pigment and a solvent characterized by its further comprising a polyvinyl alcohol. This composition provides a record consisting of a central line derived from a formulated colorant or the color of the writing substrate and contour lines derived from the metallic powder pigment and bordering on both sides of the central line.
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a double-color ink which is capable of producing a double-color effect stably for a long period of time. The present invention relates to a double-color ink comprising (1) metal powder pigments, (2) water, (3) at least one water-soluble organic solvent selected from the group consisting of alcohols, glycols and glycol ethers having a branched hydrophobic group(s) and (4) at least one water-soluble dye selected from the group consisting of anthraquinone dyes, carbonium dyes and metal complex dyes; and a writing utensil using the same as an ink.
Abstract: An electronic musical device having a keyboard actuated by random liquid drops. The device includes a base, a synthesizer, a keyboard having a plurality of keys pivotably attached to the base to actuate the synthesizer and a tube assembly extending above the keys that produces drops of liquid that fall periodically onto the keys to produce a melody.
Abstract: A taxi meter system mounted on a taxicab for accurately computing a fare for a taxicab trip as function of time and distance is disclosed. The system provides discrimination means that eliminate the contribution to the fare that may otherwise be created by illegal means that degrade the performance of the taxi meter system.
Abstract: A black light display device is provided which utilizes a black light source in combination with fluorescent/phosphorescent display elements which can be thread, strings, monofilaments, disks or sculptured material. The display elements are formed about a spindle which is secure by fixed in a housing which houses the black light source and the fluorescent/phosphorescent elements. One form of housing comprises selectively removable transparent barrier which is transparent to the visible light radiating from the fluorescent display elements but opaque to the ultraviolet light radiating from the black light illumination source.
Abstract: A writing instrument has an ink containment tube and a pen tip equipped at one end of the ink containment tube with an oily ink contained in the ink containment tube. The oily ink shows pseudo-plasticity fluidity and comprises a colorant, a resin, an organic solvent and a gelling agent.
Abstract: An aqueous metallic ink composition comprising an aluminum powder pigment, a colorant, a polysaccharide, water, a water-soluble solvent and a material selected from a polyvinyl pyrrolidone, a polyethylene oxide or a compound thereof.
Abstract: An interface for adapting a photographic system for a specific format to a camera back for a different film format, in particular from a 3¼×4¼ format photographic system to a 4×5 format film back, comprises a frame having four walls defining two substantially parallel open planar sides, one side is adapted to be mounted onto the photographic system, the other side is adapted to be mounted onto the camera back for a different film format, wherein the distance between the two open planar sides is at least ⅜ inch. The interface may be a modified CB 103 film magazine. A 4×5 adaptor for changing a 3¼x4¼× format photographic system to a 4×5 film format, comprising the modified CB 103 interface and a 4×5 connecting frame, wherein the total thickness of the CB 103 interface and 4×5 connecting frame is at least ⅜ inch. A 4×5 camera utilizing the body shell of a 3¼×4¼ format camera and the 4x5 adaptor.
