  • Patent number: 8082094
Abstract: This invention discloses a navigation apparatus correcting position data according to a map matching position and a method thereof. The navigation apparatus includes a satellite positioning module, an electronic map database, a map matching module and a correction module. The satellite positioning module provides a plurality of position data. The electronic map database stores at least one map data. The map matching module matches a position data with a map data to generate a map matching position corresponding to the position data. The correction module provides at least one turning point, and each turning point is situated at the map matching position to form an turning angular. If the turning angular exceeds a threshold value, the correction module calculates a position data and a map matching position statically collected within a predetermined time according to an algorithm to generate an offset to correct the position data behind the turning point.

  • Patent number: 8076905
Abstract: A battery charging method and device thereof are disclosed. The method includes the following steps. First, a charging current is supplied into a plurality of cell blocks of a battery module for charging, and the terminal voltages of the cell blocks are detected, when one of said terminal voltages exceeds a first threshold, the charging is kept continuously over a first preset time period. If one of said terminal voltages of said cell blocks exceeds a second threshold, an over voltage protection is performed, else the charging current is reduced and the battery module is charged by the reduced charging current continuously over a second preset time period and if the cell blocks are determined that they are fully charged, the charging is stopped, otherwise, the battery module is charged continuously. Therefore, the battery charging method and device thereof in accordance with the present invention can prevent the battery module from being overcharged and prolong its life.

Abstract: A biological indicator for monitoring the effectiveness of a sterilization or disinfection treatment or process. The biological indicator comprises a substrate having a surface layer containing functional groups thereon desirably free of silicon linking groups. The functional groups are added to the surface through the use of a functionalized silane coupling agent, wherein two different functional groups are generally utilized and the functionalized silane is applied in a uniform and consistent manner thereby assuring that the microorganism or etiological agent indicators are attached to the substrate in a uniform and consistent manner through non-covalent bonding to the functional groups. After being subjected to sterilization or other similar disinfecting treatments or processes along with various articles such as instruments, the indicator can be cultivated or cultured to determine the effectiveness of the sterilization or disinfection treatment or process.
