Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for routing a SIP INVITE by a contact distributor that provides contact distribution services to a plurality of independent contact distribution services tenants. The method includes the steps of routing the SIP INVITE to a SIP proxy server of the contact distributor, the SIP proxy server identifying a tenant associated with the SIP INVITE of the plurality of independent contact distribution services tenants and the SIP proxy server routing the SIP INVITE to a resource of the contact distributor based upon the identified tenant.

Abstract: A system and method for determining dimensions of a package during imaging for supply chain management is provided. The system and method utilize a value of an auto focus control voltage when an image of a package is in focus to calculate a magnification ratio. The calculated magnification ratio is used to multiply the dimensions of the package image to obtain the dimensions of the package.

Abstract: A half-wave rectifier including an input port for receiving an incoming AC signal, an output port for outputting a half-wave rectified signal, an operational amplifier including inverting and non-inverting input terminals and an output terminal, the inverting input terminal connected to a ground reference and a non-inverting input terminal coupled to a negative feedback loop and a first resistor. The negative feedback loop including a second resistor coupled between a first node and a second node, the first node coupling the output terminal and the output port and the second node coupling the non-inverting input terminal and the second resistor. A capacitor is coupled to the input port and in series with the first resistor.

Abstract: A fire detection network employs an implicit data backup and recovery system. The implicit data backup system allows fire detection units within a network to be automatically reprogrammed with configuration data. The detection units can store backup data and can access the stored backup data when necessary.

Abstract: A projected beam smoke detector includes circuitry and control software to measure a distance a beam travels between the detector's transmitter and receiver. Either a time-based or a phase-based measurement methodology could be used. A sensitivity parameter of the detector could be set in response to the results of the measurement.

Abstract: A microwave direction of travel detector and method of detecting the direction of an intruder in a protected region. The microwave direction of travel detector transmits and receives, by a microwave transceiver a microwave signal directed toward a protected area. The microwave return signal is modulated by a moving target to produce a Doppler signal. The received Doppler signal is amplified by a chain of amplifiers having two or more amplifiers coupled to the microwave transceiver. A controller monitors the output of each chain of the amplifiers. The microwave sensor is configured for parallel sampling an amplified Doppler signal output from each amplifiers having a low signal output and each successive chain of the amplifiers a successively higher signal output. The controller determines if there is a direction of travel motion from the intruder and sends an alarm.

The system calculates estimated handling resources for a customer interaction system (14) and forecasts a customer service transaction workload for the estimated handling resources of the customer interaction system (14). The system then determines the scheduled callback time based upon the estimated handling resources and the forecasted customer service transaction workload.

The method includes the steps of ionizing the gas, separating the ionized gas into groups of positive and negative ions using positive and negative electric fields and separately pulling the groups of positive and negative ions along a channel using the negative and positive electric fields.

Abstract: A solvent composition of about 90 to about 10 percent by weight C1-C4 lactate ester and about 10 to about 90 percent by weight C2-C6 aliphatic alcohol with low odor and enhanced performance properties is disclosed. This composition can also be mixed with other solvents and continue to provide the low odor and enhanced performance properties.

Abstract: A water feature for use in landscaping applications. A water issuing device, such as a waterfall construction is provided for receiving water and discharging water onto a gravel bed. The bed is positioned below the waterfall and forms a path or surface along which the water can flow in a stream-like manner and through which the water can percolate downwardly into the bed. A perforated and tubularly shaped collection module having a plurality of openings for receiving water percolating downwardly through the bed. A cylindrically-shaped and generally vertically oriented stack is coupled to the module for receiving water therefrom. A pump in the stack receives water from the water collection member and directs water to the waterfall construction. It is noted that water from the waterfall appears to disappear into the gravel and only a shallow stream is formed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a treatment probe for focused ultrasound including a probe body, which is mounted in rotation around an axis; an elongated treatment transducer with a focused ultrasound emission acoustic axis, which is more or less the same as the rotation axis of the probe body; and an imaging transducer, the imaging plane of which contains the acoustic axis of the treatment transducer. The inventive probe can be used to provide a simple treatment. The probe body can be rotated around the axis in order to vary the direction of the imaging plane without moving the focus, which always remains in the imaging plane. The treatment transducer can be extended in order to provide safer treatment in relation to the organs to be treated and without risk of damaging the fragile surrounding organs.

A wavefront adjuster 32 is provided on an output side of the interior of an optical resonator, i.e., on an output coupler 31 side. Light generated in a laser chamber 10 is transmitted through the wavefront adjuster 32 from the laser chamber 10 side, and reaches the output coupler 31. In the wavefront adjuster 32, the distance between concave and convex lenses 33 and 34 is adjusted so that a desired spectral purity width E95 can be obtained. Then, when the light passes through the wavefront adjuster 32, the wavefront of the light is adjusted to a desired wavefront.

Abstract: A test adaptor for performing turnaround testing on a T1 board that has a plurality of jack receptacles disposed therein. The test adaptor is comprised of a bracket, a plurality of openings, and a plurality of test plugs. The bracket has a length and a width complimentary to the length and the width of an end of a T1 board. The plurality of openings disposed in the bracket are spaced apart from each other by predetermined distances that are complimentary to the spacing between the plurality of jack receptacles disposed in the T1 board. The plurality of test plugs are mounted within the plurality of openings in the bracket such that the plurality of test plugs can be engaged with the plurality of jack receptacles substantially simultaneously and with a single mechanical step.

The correction circuit corrects a first demodulation signal generated from the demodulation circuit and generates a second demodulation signal.

Abstract: A circular knitting machine for hosiery or the like, which comprises at least one needle cylinder which has a vertical axis and on the lateral surface of which there are axial slots. Each of these axial slots accommodates a needle (106) and an actuation element (110) for the needle (106) which can engage, with one of its ends, the needle (106) arranged in the same axial slot. The needle (106) or the actuation element (110) is provided with a fixed heel (103a), which protrudes radially from the axial slot, and a movable heel (104a) which can be extracted radially on command from the axial slot. Actuation cams are arranged around the needle cylinder and can be engaged by the fixed heels (103a) and by the movable heels (104a) in the extracted position. The machine can perform the usual knitting of known types of machine despite having an actuation cam set which has an extremely small number of actuation cams which can move for activation or deactivation, or none at all.
