    Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for privacy-protecting integrity attestation of a computing platform. An example method for privacy-protecting integrity attestation of a computing platform (P) has a trusted platform module (TPM), and comprises the following steps. First, the computing platform (P) receives configuration values (PCR1 . . . PCRn). Then, by means of the trusted platform module (TPM), a configuration value (PCRp) is determined which depends on the configuration of the computing platform (P). In a further step the configuration value (PCRp) is signed by means of the trusted platform module. Finally, in the event that the configuration value (PCRp) is one of the received configuration values (PCR1 . . . PCRn), the computing platform (P) proves to a verifier (V) that it knows the signature (sign(PCRp)) on one of the received configuration values (PCR1 . . . PCRn).

The inlet channel of the device may also include an adjustable section, or a fixed section and an airflow damper, which allows air flow along the channel to be controlled in a periodic fashion. For each question, the user may select one particular interviewer voice among a plurality of predefined interviewer voices, and by using a text-to-speech module in a text-to-speech server, each question is converted into an audio question having the selected interviewer voice. Then, the user preferably records answers to each audio question using a telephone. And a questions/answers sequence in a podcast compliant format is generated.

The preliminary result set is used to generate a final result set.

    Abstract: A method of forming a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) semiconductor structure in a substrate having a bulk semiconductor layer, a buried oxide (BOX) layer and an SOI layer. During the formation of a trench in the structure, the BOX layer is undercut. The method includes forming a dielectric material on the upper wall of the trench adjacent to the undercutting of the BOX layer and then etching the dielectric material to form a spacer. The spacer fixes the BOX layer undercut and protects it during subsequent steps of forming a bottle-shaped portion of the trench, forming a buried plate in the deep trench; and then forming a trench capacitor. There is also a semiconductor structure, preferably an SOI eDRAM structure, having a spacer which fixes the undercutting in the BOX layer.

    Abstract: The increasing number of Internet users and innovative new services such as e-commerce are placing new demands on Web servers. It is becoming essential for Web servers to provide performance isolation, have fast recovery times, and provide continuous service during overload at least to preferred customers. The invention describes a kernel-based architecture for content-aware service differentiation that protects Web servers against overload by controlling the amount and rate of work entering the system. We have invented a mechanism that provides admission control and service differentiation based on connection and application level information. The application header-based connection control uses application-level information (such as URIs and cookies for HTTP) to define different service differentiation actions. The present invention provides the kernel mechanisms that are more efficient and scalable than application level controls implemented in current Web servers.

The probability of selecting a particular update rule is reinforced or decayed based on the success of an update rule in allowing routing probes to create many different efficient routes.
