  • Patent number: 7236941
Abstract: The invention concerns a computerized method of invalidating set-top box events. The method may include monitoring set-top box events, storing the set-top box events in a first array, calculating a first trend in the first array of set-top box events, invalidating the set-top box events which are one or more statistical outliers from the first trend, storing the invalidated set-top box events in a second array, and calculating a second trend in the second array of invaidated set-top box events, wherein invalidated set-top box events are revalidated and new set-top box event categories to be ignored are identified based on the second trend.

  • Patent number: 7224985
Abstract: Disclosed is an antenna segment system for communicating between fixed antenna segments and wireless mobile devices. The antenna segments may be embedded in lighting fixtures distributed in a building. Each lighting fixture may emanate a visible light pattern related to an antenna pattern of an antenna segment embedded in the respective lighting fixture. The system includes a computer that can automatically assign addresses to the distributed antenna segments based on time domain reflection signals returned over a wire path between a controller and the segments.

  • Patent number: 7216339
Abstract: A system and method for determining software maturity, the method comprising the steps of building an uncensored belief distribution from a set of observed test data, building belief distributions based on improvement factors, convoluting the uncensored belief distribution with the belief distribution on improvement factors to form a censored belief distribution. From these belief distributions, a 3-way assessment is made including establishing an a priori belief distribution to assess a level of software maturity.
