Abstract: An enclosed box in which the top wall and the upper sections of each side wall extend only over a central portion of the length of the box, and in which side flaps and a top flap at each end of the box tuck within the side walls and under the top wall to form an enclosed box. An upper section of each end wall and side flap along with the top flaps are removable to provide access into the box.

Abstract: The modular roll product holder 10 of this invention comprises two support panels 20,22 each adapted to be secured to a mounting surface 16,18 and a hinged connector 24 adapted to be removably secured to the two support panels, 20,22 and two roll support spindles 26,28 each having one end 44 adapted to be secured to a support panel 20,22. The hinge 38 allows the two support panels 20,22 to be connected together at different planar angles. Each support panel 20,22 can be adapted to be secured to a mounting surface 16,18 by a mounting bracket 12,14 that can be removably secured to the support panel 20,22 and, the support panels 20,22 are adapted to be secured to the brackets 12,14 and to the hinged connector 24 by means of flanges 46 that fit within mating grooves 48.

Abstract: An apparatus for transversely directing a roll, or log 10, from a work station 84 into a storage carrier 20 and for transversely unloading the log 10 from the carrier 20 onto the work station 84. The accumulator has a plurality of pivotally mounted storage carriers 20 which move along a path by the work station 84. A kicker assembly 86 transversely directs a log 10 into the path of a log carrier 20. A stationary stop 108 located adjacent that side of the log carrier 20 path that is away from the kicker assembly 86 deflects a directed roll so that it falls into the log carrier 20. A second stationary stop 106 is located adjacent the carrier path on the side of the carrier path that is closest to the kicker assembly 86 also deflects a directed roll into the log carrier 20. The apparatus for unloading a carrier includes a discharge pan 60, which is pivotally mounted so that it can be located between the work station 84 and the log carrier 20 path.

Abstract: An improved packaging system (10) comprising a container (14), a closure (12) for the container (14) and means (38, 60, 34, 66) for retaining the closure over an opening of the container (14). A plurality of fin segments (56, 58) extending between the closure (12) and the container (14) and surrounding a substantial portion of the periphery of the container opening retards the evaporation of moisture from the container (14).

Abstract: A web finishing system which includes a web rewinder 10, an accumulator 64 and a log saw 80 includes means for automatically controlling the speed of the rewinder 10 based on the status of equipment in the system.
