Abstract: Gases containing solubles or suspended particles are mixed with a scrubbing liquid in a mixing apparatus having a chamber with a rotatable wheel mounted therein. The gas is mixed with a scrubbing liquid by the rotating wheel which has first and second scrubbing surfaces including vanes for creating turbulence and moving the gas through the chamber. The vanes on the first scrubbing surface increase in height from the axis of the wheel to its periphery to move gas radially outwardly. The vanes on the second scrubbing surface increase in height from the periphery to the axis of the wheel to move the gas radially inwardly.
Abstract: AC power is converted to a low-voltage, high-current DC output by a power supply which contains two stages. The first stage is an AC to DC converter using a full wave bridge rectifier to convert the voltage from the AC source to an intermediate raw DC voltage. The second stage is a DC to DC forward converter using a transformer with its primary winding connected to the intermediate raw DC voltage through a switch which is cycled "on" and "off" at a predetermined frequency. During the switch "on" portions of the cycle a current flows in the primary winding powering the output and charging an inductor which is connected to the secondary winding. When the switch is turned "off", no current flows through the transformer and the load is powered by the energy stored in the inductor. A secondary coil is magnetically coupled to the inductor and has a induced voltage proportional to the output voltage.
Abstract: A rigid frame garment bag travel case combination is formed in a rectilinear shaped case having opposed openable main compartments which share a common side. Each compartment is bounded by a partial rigid U-shaped frame. Between the openable compartments is a common wall provided with a separate planar frame which protects garments, especially suits or dresses, which may be hung from one compartment across the common side and into the other main compartment and secured by crossing straps. A small fold-out fabric panel attached to the lower edge of a lower main compartment is capable of holding dresses which are longer than both compartments. A larger fold-out panel is attached to one side of both main compartments and has a number of pockets for soft garments. The larger panel is folded over the openable compartments and the smaller panel. It is secured along its edge with a zipper.
Abstract: Foreign particles are removed from the plate cylinder of an offset press by interconnecting two ink form rollers friction driven by the plate roller and/or a vibrating roller to rotate in unison at different surface velocities. The connection between the form rollers maintains a fixed ratio between the surface velocities of the rollers which is other than 1:1 and causes the surface of at least one of the form rollers to wipe the surface of the plate.
Abstract: Wheeled luggage apparatus having a pair of independent wheel assemblies is formed with a frame having first, second, third and fourth sidewalls. A first notch (which extends from edge to interior side surfaces of the first and second sidewalls) and a second notch (which extends from edge to interior side surfaces of the second and third sidewalls) are formed in the frame. First and second wheel assemblies, each fully independent from the other, are mounted to the frame of the wheeled luggage apparatus. Each of the independent wheel assemblies is comprised of first and second subassemblies. Each of the first subassemblies are comprised of a central wheel well and first and second flanges while each of the second subassemblies are comprised of a central portion and first and second flanges.
Abstract: A display assembly is designed to display goods in the unused air space above counters, for example, by attaching the assembly to the supports of a drop-style ceiling. The display assembly includes a bracket which attaches between two supports as well as a display for folding sellable merchandise. The display can be attached to the bracket by any suitable means including monofilament or chains. The displays can include space for signage. By suspending the display assembly from the ceiling, the user can utilize air space previously wasted. Further, the displays are free to sway gently in response to any breeze, thereby attracting attention.

Abstract: A collection bag and its associated tubing are supported below the seat of a wheelchair or the like with the collection bag disposed substantially horizontally and below its associated inlet tubing. A separate pocket holds the inlet tubing coiled above the bag so that fluids may drain by gravity through the tubing into the collection bag. The suspension apparatus comprises a main pocket attached to the seat frame of a chair or the like using a plurality of strap and a secondary pocket supporting the tubing coil above the main pocket. The collection bag and tubing are thus substantially concealed from view and the inlet tubing maintained in a coiled position above the collection bag.
Abstract: A suspendable assembly for displaying goods at approximately customer eye level is formed by two elongated side members on which are mounted at least two display trays. The trays have slots therein for insertion of the elongated side members and a sidewall portion with an upturned flange. The side members have tray-supporting bosses which increase in size with descending position and the slots in the trays increase in length with relative descending position so that the lower trays will pass over the upper bosses but not over the lower bosses. The bosses are aligned to support the floor of each tray tilted downwardly in the direction of the upturned flange.

Abstract: Releasable suction cup assemblies for use in supporting objects on smooth surfaces are formed by a cup body which has a neck with a bore passing therethrough and a valve for selectively opening and dosing the bore. The valve extends through the bore and has a retainer on one end which moves the valve into a sealing position to secure the cup to the smooth surface and deformably wedges the neck against the object to secure the object to the suction cup. The vacuum of the suction cup can be released for repositioning the cup.

Abstract: A battery saver circuit compares the battery terminal voltage to a programmable reference voltage and disconnects the battery from the load when the measured battery voltage falls below a predetermined minimum value. The reference voltage is programmable by a transfer function generator which varies the reference voltage in accordance with the current drawn by the load to account for the voltage drop in the line series wiring. A fault indicator is included to prevent chatter in the relay by raising the battery voltage necessary to reconnect the battery to the load. The fault indicator is reset when the battery is recharged.
