  • Patent number: 7681851
Abstract: A retractable hook device that has a hook mounted on a housing. The housing is to be securable to an exterior surface. The hook is pivotable between a retracted (stowage) position and an extended (usage) position. A release plate is mounted on the housing. The release plate can be in either an outer position or an inner position. When in the outer position the hook can be locked in either the extended position or the retracted position. When the release plate is in the inner position, the hook is pivotally movable between the extended position and the retracted position.

  • Patent number: 7284327
Abstract: A valve stem puller which comprises a length of flexible elongated member which is connected at one end to a ring and at an opposite end to an externally threaded plug. The valve stem puller is to be utilized by inserting such through a fastener nut and then through a valve stem mounting hole in a tire rim and then threadably connecting the externally threaded plug onto a valve stem of an inflating tube and then inserting the inflating tube about the tire rim and within the confines of the tire, pulling on the flexible elongated member to cause the valve stem to connect with the valve stem mounting hole in a close conforming manner. A fastening nut is then threadably mounted about the valve stem to secure such in position. The tire is then completely installed on the tire rim and the externally threaded plug is then removed from the valve stem.

  • Patent number: 7275787
Abstract: A combined second seat, backrest and luggage rack for a motorcycle which comprises a frame composed of a pair of tubular members, each in a mirror image of the other, mounted together by an adjusting link which provides for variable spacing of the side members of the frame. A hinge plate assembly composed of a pair of plates which are pivotally connected together is mounted on the frame with one plate not being mounted on the frame and that plate being movable between a position in juxtaposition with the plate that is mounted on the frame to a position that is transverse relative to the plate that is mounted on the frame. A cushion is to be mounted on this transverse plate and when that transverse plate is in its transverse position is capable of the unit being used as a backrest for an operator of a motorcycle, and when in juxtaposition with the plate that is mounted on the frame, this cushion is usable as a second seat for a motorcycle.

  • Patent number: 7252213
Abstract: A beverage jug cover which is constructed of flexible material and has an internal compartment within which is to be located the beverage jug. A section of gatherable material (usually of fabric) surrounds an access opening into the internal compartment with there being a drawstring mounted within the section of gatherable material and by pulling of the drawstring the gatherable material can be made to occupy a tight position with the neck of the beverage jug. The beverage jug cover includes a thermal insulation layer which is mounted within the sidewall of the internal compartment. There is also formed a pair of handle access openings within the cover which connect with the handle of the jug to facilitate carrying of the jug using the handle of the jug.

  • Patent number: 7240524
Abstract: A locking apparatus for a garage door which utilizes a pair of actuators with one actuator being mounted at a side edge of the garage door and the other actuator mounted at the opposite side edge of the garage door. One actuator is mounted on a carrier gear which connects to a worm gear which is driven by an electric motor. Each operator connects with a locking bolt with there being a separate locking bolt for each actuator. Each locking bolt is to be movable in conjunction with the door jamb of the garage door to lock the garage door to the jamb. Both actuators pivot in the same direction. Both locking bolts are linearly slidable. A connecting member connects between the first actuator and the second actuator so that the actuators move in unison. One actuator has a back end which extends through a slot formed in a latch housing. This back end is manually accessible to cause the actuator to move manually if electricity fails.

  • Patent number: 7206260
Abstract: An interval timer that is constructed of a polygonal shaped housing which has a time display screen and a pressure activating button within one surface of the housing and another surface of the housing includes a mode selection switch, time increment button and second time increment button. With the mode selection switch in the set position the first time increment button and second time increment button can be operated to produce a selected time value such as in minutes and in seconds to be displayed within the time display screen. Movement of the mode selection switch to a usage position and pressing of the pressable activating button will result in the selected preset time interval to count down a second at a time (or other minimum time increment) to eventually reach zero.

  • Patent number: 7196320
Abstract: A passive all fiber optic encoder that will be able to determine speed, position, and direction of movement of a movable object. The all passive encoder utilizes no electronics within the sensing part and therefore is deployable in harsh environments, electrical, electromagnetic and radiation fields, otherwise not possible with conventional electronic encoders. The system utilizes a multiwavelength light source and one optical fiber leading to the encoder sensor housing which has a shutter, a light filter assembly and reflective mirror. The movement of the shutter produces a sequential series of light impulses sequenced proportional to the movement of the shutter. The light filter assembly utilizes a minimum of two different filters each of which passes or rejects light within a certain space and wavelength range.

  • Patent number: 7192520
Abstract: A magnetic device for attachment on an exterior wall of a canister where the canister is mounted within a liquid flow path. The purpose of the device is to attract ferrous particulate matter flowing within the flow path and cause that ferrous particulate matter to be fixed to the inside surface of the canister therefore no longer flowing in the flow path. The device has a frame which includes a cavity and within that cavity is mounted a baseplate. Mounted on the baseplate are a pair of blocks. Mounted on each of the blocks is a plurality of magnets with the magnets mounted in a side abutting relationship in conjunction with each block. Between the blocks is located a bridge. The bridge permits limited flexing of the frame so the frame can be used to accommodate to different diameters of canisters within about a one-half inch range.
