  • Patent number: 7055847
Abstract: A collapsible support structure has pairs of leg members (17) pivotally joined intermediate their length in crossed fashion by a connection member (18) that is capable of sliding longitudinally with the pivotal joint as the leg members extend in a scissors—like manner to support an object.

  • Patent number: 6454340
Abstract: A collapsible top (13) fits over a child's pull wagon (10), may be taken apart easily, and flatly packaged for store display or mail order shipment. It has a light weight, flexible frame (15) universally adjustable to fit the various sizes of wagon beds (12). In principle, however, the top may be scaled up as a tent for adults, or as a canopy for outdoor recreation. The top includes a cover material (14) stretched between a pair of spaced hoop members (16). They are bowed into an arch above their lower ends which are fitted into mounting brackets (20) secured to the corners of the wagon. A spreader rod (22) forces apart the arched portions of the hoop members sufficiently at the top to develop an overhang beyond the ends of the wagon, thereby allowing the lower legs adjustment to any wagon size, and creating internal mutual stresses between the frame and the cover in a modular, unitary structure strengthened thereby enough to avoid having to use intermediate ribs or other support parts.

  • Patent number: 6453507
Abstract: A wet dry cannister vacuum having an upper and lower chamber separated by an intermediate wall. A blower (1) in the upper chamber providing a low and high pressure head communicating with respectively with low and high pressure compartments. A valve (2) opening from the low pressure compartment through the intermediate wall to the lower chamber. Another valve (8) opening from the high pressure compartment through the intermediate wall into the lower chamber. A water reservoir in the bottom of the lower chamber. A duct (15) opens on one end near the bottom of the lower chamber and on the other end to ambient air pressure. In operation, before wet or loose dry material is vacuumed, a small amount of water is introduced into the lower chamber by length of flexible hose being attached to the duct (15) and to a water source on the other. After priming, an attachment for cleaning may be attached to the hose, such as a shampoo wand (25).

  • Patent number: 6330783
Abstract: A combined discharge and grass collection mower deck (12) is adapted to have a baffle housing (20) attached at the deck's discharge opening that deflects grass clippings downwardly and outwardly into a diverging, narrow, fan-like pattern without wind rowing, or alternatively, the discharge opening may be closed by a plate (35), and a secondary opening (36) from the top of the deck is attach to a collection system.

  • Patent number: 6302004
Abstract: A CNC machine tool has a turret (10), a reservoir of coolant, a pump supplying coolant under pressure from the reservoir (not shown) to the turret (10), a tool holder (13) mounted on the turret at a tool station (8) opposite a rotatable spindle (not shown) upon which a workpiece is mounted for a cutting operation. A coolant bored tool bar (18) is clamped in the tool holder. It has an insert (9) with a rake face (38) for gouging out metal chips. The insert rake face and chips have an an edge boundary temperature gradient decreasing away from the rake face. A sleeve (24) removeably attaches to the coolant bored tool bar and an O-ring (25) seals around the end of the bar defining a chamber (30) supplied with coolant under pressure. The only outlet from this chamber is the bore (32) of the tool bar.
