The apparatus has a housing in which one end of an external water feed line is arranged and a safety valve for shutting off or opening a water line which is inside the housing. The housing has an opening for discharging leakage water.

Abstract: A method for creating a hydrophobic effect of textiles in a washing machine. Hydrophobic agents dissolved in the washing liquid are contacted with the textiles during a treatment process. The tub is filled with an amount of water which is proportioned and which is heated to a minimum temperature in the tub while the textiles are soaked. The hydrophobic agent is flushed from the detergent storage chamber into the lye container by means of water and forms a washing liquid along with the water. The textiles are contacted with the washing liquid and are treated for a maximum of 30 minutes. The washing liquid is removed from the textiles and the washing liquid container by spin-drying without rinsing.

Abstract: An automatically controlled washing machine having a detergent dispensing unit that is arranged in an upper machine space of the washing machine. A drawer is arranged in the detergent dispensing unit and accessible from the front panel of the washing machine. The drawer has at least one chamber for hand-metered addition of washing powder or washing liquid. At least one storage unit in the upper machine space stores liquid or gel-like washing aid. A receptacle unit of the storage unit receives a transportable storage container that contains the liquid or gel-like washing aid and a metering unit automatically meters the liquid or gel-like washing aid. The metering unit is connected to the receptacle unit by a fluid connection and has an outlet opening that opens into a stationary chamber of the detergent dispensing unit.

Abstract: An electric motor-driven kitchen appliance includes an electric motor having a motor housing and a gear stage having a gear case fastened to the electric motor. A removable reinforcement frame is around the motor housing and gear case. The electric motor-gear stage arrangement can be tested outside of the housing of the kitchen appliance and produced in a cost effective manner, being particularly torsionally rigid due to the removable reinforcement frame, thereby exhibiting an operation reliability.

Abstract: A framework is provided for positioning a testing cabinet for testing an appliance. The framework includes a base for supporting the appliance; a first side frame attached to the base; a rear frame attached to the base; a second side frame attached to the base and located opposite to the first side frame; and a top frame attached to the first side frame. The first side frame, the rear frame, the second side frame, and the top frame are adapted to hold panels of the testing cabinet in a predetermined position relative to the appliance, and the framework is adapted to hold a side panel of the panels of the testing cabinet in a plurality of different positions.
