Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of adapting computer programs to user profiles, including providing a user with a questionnaire to determine at least one of the user's intelligence, personality, emotional state, computer experience, sensory skills, motor skills, education, and training; compiling a user profile based on data received from the questionnaire; modifying the computer programs used by the user based on the user's profile; and storing the user profile and the computer program modifications in a database for future utilization by the user. The modification of the computer programs includes modifying at least one of a user interface, workstation tools, input device and navigation, image presentation, analysis of information presented, and reporting.
Abstract: A portable winch apparatus having a rechargeable battery and electrical outlets for the charging and operation of external accessory devices. The winch is housed in a casing with various anchor attachments that allow for multiple dragging, towing, and lifting arrangements. Because the winch apparatus incorporates at least one accessory outlet which is powered by the attached rechargeable battery power supply, the present invention combines the portability advantages of hand held winches with the power output options available to vehicle mounted winches. The invention achieves further versatility through incorporation of a wireless remote control unit, and its versatile structural organization around an internal frame that permits it to be manufactured in differing configurations with different geometries.
Abstract: The present invention employs a beam steering apparatus to isolate valuable cells from other cells, tissues, and contaminants. In one embodiment, the system balances optical trapping against biasing flow to parallelize cell sorting under the flexible control of computer program-directed traps which differentially manipulate cells based on their composition or labels to direct separation.

Abstract: A flexible wired circuit board for temperature measurement that can provide an accurate temperature measurement even when placed in a high-temperature atmosphere and can also be provided at a reduced cost. In the flexible wired circuit board for temperature measurement, a conductor layer formed from a metal foil, such as a stainless foil, having a proportional relation between temperature and specific electric resistance is formed on a base insulating layer. Also, a single thin sensor wiring in a sensor portion exposed from a cover insulating layer is formed into a certain pattern by folding back the sensor wiring in a continuous S-shaped form, such that adjacent parts of the wiring extending in parallel are spaced apart from each other at a predetermined interval in a widthwise direction of the conductor layer.
