Abstract: An inspection/pickup tool having a casing within which a telescopically extendible rod is mounted for telescopic extension in a direction away from the casing. A quick connect-disconnect coupler is provided on the outward end of the rod for removably coupling a selected inspection/pickup head to the rod. A light is mounted within the casing to emit light in the direction in which the rod extends. A focusing mechanism is provided for focusing the light. For example, a lens can be mounted over the light for selectable advancement and retraction of the lens with respect to the light. The casing is shaped for single-handed manipulation of the inspection/pickup head and for simultaneous single-handed activation and focusing of the light.

Abstract: A hidden implement holder system. The hidden implement holder system comprises; a cummerbund article; and an implement compartment coupled to and concealed by the cummerbund. The cummerbund article further comprises an implement holder contained within the implement compartment, and the implement compartment further comprises a closeable access coupled thereto. The implement holder is comprised of a vertically stabilized rigid material, having horizontal flexibility, and having a set of implement cavities thereon, and additionally comprises a set of implements positioned within the set of implement cavities.

Abstract: A dental floss dispenser having the external appearance of an apple. In one embodiment, the dispenser consists of two simulated apple halves, hingedly connected to one another. In another embodiment, the dispenser consists of a simulated apple half hingedly connected to a vertical backing member such as a board or wall.

Abstract: A topical anesthetic/prophylaxis paste is provided that is effective at removing extrinsic stains and plaque on the teeth and at reducing discomfort during scaling procedures thereon by delivery of an anesthetic into the gingival sulcus. The paste includes at least one topical anesthetic, either 5% Lidocaine or 20% Benzocaine, at least one humectant, preferably a Polyethylene glycol in the amount of about 28 to about 42 percent by weight, at least one abrasive agent, preferably pumice in the amount of about 55 to about 65 percent by weight, and at least one sweetener, preferably Saccharin sodium in the amount up to about three percent by weight. A method of delivering the topical anesthetic/prophylaxis paste into the sulcus by a low speed handpiece with a prophylaxis angle and rubber cup is also provided.

Abstract: An ultrasonic broadband frequency transducer pest repulsion system comprises: a variable frequency generator; at least one ultrasonic frequency amplifier coupled to the variable frequency generator; and a transducer unit coupled to the ultrasonic frequency amplifier. The transducer unit comprises: a first transducer tuned at a first frequency located between a lower frequency and an upper frequency; a second transducer tuned at a second frequency located between the first frequency and the upper frequency, and a third transducer tuned at a third frequency located between the second frequency and the upper frequency.

Abstract: A recording device that is coupled to a book. The recording device records, saves and plays back a plurality of discrete messages. An archival control disables and enables the device, thus permitting the user to ensure that no new messages will be accidentally recorded over existing saved messages.

The environmental test chamber fast cool down system, comprises: an environmental test chamber evaporator, a cascade condenser coupled to the environmental test chamber evaporator, a sub-cooled primary stage loop coupled to the cascade condenser, a sub-cooled secondary stage loop coupled to the cascade condenser, and a thermal storage unit coupled to the sub-cooled primary stage loop and to the sub-cooled secondary stage loop.

Abstract: An ergonomic hand rest assembly for attachment to a gaming machine that includes a housing having a pair of upright, oppositely facing panels. A pair of support arms are mounted to the panels, and support bar is arranged to extend between the support arms spaced apart from the housing. A frame is mounted to the support bar, and a pad is mounted on the frame.

Abstract: A truck bed extension is provided for extending the useful length of a pickup truck bed. The truck bed extension includes a pair of transversely spaced sidewalls interconnected by a spacing member, with each sidewall coupled to a downwardly extending mount having an inwardly oriented pin, whereby the pins are substantially opposed and collinear. The pins are positioned for receipt into openings in the tailgate housing latches. When the truck bed extension is lowered, the pins are received into and releasably coupled with the latches. Brackets are preferably provided adjacent the forward margins of the sidewalls and oriented outwardly to receive inwardly extending posts extending inwardly from the bed walls.

Abstract: A method of playing a video poker game which allows the player to pick the cards to form his or her poker hand. All the playing cards are placed lying face down. The player picks and turns over a predetermined number (i.e. five) of the playing cards to form an initial poker hand. The player then determines which of the selected cards to hold. If one or more of the selected playing cards are discarded, the player selects and turns over replacement playing card(s) from the remainder of the playing cards which are lying face down.

Abstract: A container for storing shoes having cleats/spikes uses a shoe bag for storing the shoes having one of cleats or spikes. A protective flap is coupled to the shoe bag and is used to protect a surface of an object from being damaged by a bottom portion of the shoes when the shoes are placed on top of the protective flap when an individual is putting on the shoes.

Abstract: An emissions reduction system comprising an emission gas inlet for receiving emissions-containing gas, and an emissions reducing device for reducing emissions contained in the emissions-containing gas. The emissions reducing device is coupled at a first end thereof to the emission gas inlet and an emission gas outlet is coupled at a second end of the emissions reducing device for releasing emissions-reduced gas. The emissions reducing device comprises: a torturous fluid channel, lava material displaced within the torturous fluid channel wherein the lava material is located within a set of self contained containers within the emissions reducing device.

Abstract: A pinspotter controller system, and a method therefore, is disclosed which provides improved functional characteristics over old pinspotter control systems. The heart of the pinspotter control system is an all solid state pinspotter controller chassis which can be coupled to a pinspotter for controlling the operation of the pinspotter. The all solid state pinspotter controller provides circuitry for executing a short strike cycle; for cutting power to a back end motor to conserve energy; and for coupling to a remote control console. The solid state pinspotter controller retains status and position data for the pinspotter during power interruptions. The combination also replaces the current AMF 8270 chassis, contains a buffering mechanism to prevent false operation, and contains a new communication module. The new combination disclosed here has improved backend control through the use of a microprocessor, reduced wiring, positive management and control, and improved braking when operating at 230 Volts AC.

Abstract: A system and method which uses statistical analysis of college football games to predict an outcome is comprised of a unique combination of objective, quantitative factors. The system and method accounts for when in the college football season the contest takes place and uses varying sets of objective parameters based on the season game number. The system and method may be implemented on a variety of processing platforms which allows for rapid analysis of multiple contests.

Abstract: A storage, admixing, and dispensing system is shown. The storage, admixing, and dispensing system has a first vessel for retaining a first substance. A support structure is coupled to and seals the first vessel, and a second vessel is coupled to the support structure for containing a second substance. A release mechanism is coupled to the support structure for releasing the second vessel from the support structure for combining the first substance with the second substance. The second vessel is internal to and retained within the first vessel. The release mechanism comprises a resilient material pushbutton which also seals the second vessel. The second vessel is also an agitator for combining the first substance and the second substance. Additionally, the first vessel is a dispensing apparatus for dispensing the admixture. Further included is a safety mechanism coupled to the resilient material pushbutton for preventing accidental operation of the release mechanism.

Abstract: An improved integrated electrically adjustable analog transistor device is delineated wherein the device has multiple sub-structures to optimize performance of the device. One of the sub-structures is particularly well suited for charging the device's insulated gate. Additional sub-structures, each different in dimensions and electrical characteristics from the first sub-structure, are implemented for optimal use with an external electrical circuit.
