Abstract: A storage container for an optical compact disk is described which includes a base tray, a cover and a disk tray. The inventive storage container includes protrusions on an inside portion of the cover for securing large booklets and promotional material. A motion limiting mechanism is formed along an entire length of a portion of the cover near the base tray for limiting the amount of rotation of the cover with respect to the base to approximately 180 degrees. The disk tray is adapted to snap securely into the base tray and includes a hub located in a cylindrical recess for engaging a centralized hole of the compact disk.
Abstract: A molding apparatus for plastic parts which includes a stationary core plate and a moveable cavity plate used to form a mold cavity, and an ejector plate with pins utilized to eject the molded part from the apparatus. The valve used to inject the liquid plastic, which may be coupled to the core plate or the cavity plate, is always located on the same side of the plastic part as the ejector plate.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for delivering an air-fuel mixture to an internal combustion engine in a virtually complete gaseous form. The system is essentially comprised of a converter which dries intake air and combines the dried air with gas vapor and an air modulator for adding additional atmospheric air to the air-gas vapor mixture. The convertor contains an activated charcoal substance which enhance evaporation of the fuel, prevents "gumming" of the fuel in the convertor, and inhibits condensation of the fuel after evaporation. The air-gas vapor mixture is then fed to an internal combustion engine. In a first embodiment, the system may be installed as an add-on apparatus to an automotive engine which already uses fuel injection as fuel feeding means. In that embodiment, disabling means are installed to disable the fuel injectors. In a second embodiment, the system may be utilized as original equipment for feeding an air-fuel vapor mixture to an internal combustion engine.
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for injection molding the shells of a mini-disk cartridge or the like. More particularly, the device includes a main cavity having a shape of mini-disk shell. The mold contains various projections and indentations on the first and second surfaces, respectively, which are adapted to form a shutter recess near a first edge of the lower shell, a read/write port for a media disk in a vicinity of the first edge within the shutter recess, a shutter guide track on the outer surface of the lower shell close to and parallel to the first edge, a drive port for rotating a media disk, and various fastening bosses for fastening the upper and lower shells of the mini-disk cartridge together. A single hot-runner valve gate is placed in the mold close to one corner such that small cavities within the cavity are filled with polymer melt first.
Abstract: A storage container for hexahedron objects, such as mini-disk cartridges and promotional material. The container comprises two primary components, a base tray and a cover, where the base tray is constructed such that it may house two hexahedron objects. The base tray, which has two parallel side walls, is formed with a ledge extending inwardly from each of the side walls such that one object may be stored on top of the ledges and another object may be secured below the ledges. The cover is constructed with support extensions for supporting the cover and securing the object resting on the ledge when the container is in the closed position.
