Abstract: An automatic pet training pad having a training pad area, an absorbent pad bin and a waste collection bin. A roll of absorbent pad material extends from the absorbent pad bin, across the training pad area and into the waste collection bin. After a pet uses the training pad, a sensor activates a disposal cycle. The used absorbent pad material is withdrawn into the waste collection bin, rolled into a disposable waste pouch, and severed off from the clean absorbent pad material. The absorbent pad comprises an upper, fluid-absorbent layer and a lower, fluid-impervious layer bonded together in a continuous sheet. The absorbent pad material is further impregnated with an odor suppressing substance to control pet waste odor.

Abstract: The invention relates to the field of instrumentation and can be used for diagnosing the condition of a biological object. The technical result consists in an increased measurement precision. In order to achieve this result, the invention comprises determining the condition of a biological object on the basis of fixation and comparison of the structures of gas-discharge light emission around the reference object and the biological object under study in an electromagnetic field. The light emissions around the reference object and the biological object under study are converted into digital code. The invention comprises determining the quantitative parameters of the light emission and the characteristics thereof. The invention also comprises determining corresponding spatial points of specified parameters for the reference object and the biological object under study.

Abstract: An ice fishing camera support device generally comprises a base portion that rotatably supports an indexed wheel. The support base generally comprises a circular top portion and downward-protruding side wall extending from the outer peripheral section of the top portion. A plurality of gripping teeth extend from the bottom surface of the side wall. The gripping teeth may be embedded into the ice surface to prevent the camera support device from sliding on the ice surface. The indexed wheel is centrally supported within the recessed section and may be freely rotated with respect to the support base. The support base and the indexed wheel comprise a slotted section which extends from their centers through their peripheral edges. An underwater camera cable is inserted into the slot, and the indexed wheel may be rotated with respect to the support base to precisely determine the angular orientation of the underwater camera.

Abstract: An improved plunger comprises a generally V-shaped handle attached to a top distal end of a shaft. The handle comprises two mirrored arms that face inwards from a base so that neither of them nor the shaft shares a vertical or a horizontal plane. The handle is removably detachable from the plunger so that it can be washed, disinfected, and sanitized. At least one extension shaft portion extends a height of the shaft when it is not collapsed into and housed in the hollow shaft.

Abstract: A cover for a bowl, such as a pet food or water bowl, that comprises a dip molded cover on the outer surface of a bowl, thereby providing aesthetically pleasing exterior features, while also providing protection to the covered bowl and insulating qualities to the contents of the covered bowl. The cover of the present invention may be fabricated from rubber or plastic material and may be permanently or removeably secured to the outer surface of the bowl.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for dispensing animal bedding material is provided for use in an industrial livestock production facility. Bedding material is delivered to the site in a primary dispensing vehicle, which is configured with a walking floor conveyor for allowing a smaller secondary dispensing vehicle to be loaded with the animal bedding material directly from the primary vehicle. The process includes distributing the animal bedding material evenly over the area to be treated directly from the rear of the secondary vehicle in one or more passes along the bedding area. Abstract: A two-layer bonded highloft nonwoven particle entrapment pad, for entrapping soils tracked by pets, comprises an open, porous, bonded highloft nonwoven top layer and an otherwise solid, impenetrable bottom layer or structure secured to its underside. The highloft top layer is manufactured from a synthetic material consisting of numerous matrices or cross-over connections which create open porous sieve-like varieties, wherein a web structure of the highloft layer comprises a distinct top, middle, and bottom that is capable of allowing the particles and the litter to enter and be entrapped therein via gravity when stepped upon. A sticky, tackified adhesive maintained on a complex of bonded fibers of the highloft, said adhesive increases its holding capacity as does mechanical abrasion to the top surface of the highloft nonwoven. The present bonded, highloft pad can be manufactured from a variety of densities, deniers and depths from an airlaid, a drylaid, or a wetlaid process.

Abstract: A pet pad storage system having an open frame body having a bottom wall and four sidewalls extending upwards therefrom. One pair of sidewalls, opposite each other, terminates slightly before a centerline that runs across their length; hence, no sidewall extends upwards at a center portion of the bottom layer for two of the four edges. A length of strip runs across the inside edge at a top of the remaining pair of sidewalls. In this manner, a stack of sheets can be laid across the interior portion of the frame body. Two perforated edges run across a length of the bottom wall where the sidewalls terminate. A third perforated edge runs across the centerline between the other two. The outer sidewalls of the frame are pulled upwards towards one another to fold the frame member closed. The sheet is rollably folded therein so that the storage system can stand upright in a closet space.

Abstract: An infant or baby crib is provided that eliminates the vertical slotted members normally present on the sidewalls and end-walls, and replaces these with a planar fabric, leather or canvas member that spans each sidewall or end wall, respectively. The planar member is generally flexible to prevent fixed pinch points between rigid beams or slats that have now been identified as creating a strangulation hazard. Canvas or leather side panels form a large central orifice in which a clear plastic panel forms a viewing window, thereby allowing the infant to see through the sidewall.

Abstract: A versatile, variable gear ratio mechanical transmission system is providing having similar first and second spaced Disc Subsystems connected by a belt or chain. Each subsystem of which comprises three primary components: (1) a Shift Actuation Structure located at one outermost side; (2) a Receiving Disc located at the opposite side; and, (3) a Retention Disc sandwiched between. The Retention and Receiving Discs accommodate concentric rings of proportionally spaced holes in which corresponding smooth, contoured or toothed Headed Pins are maintained, engaged, or retracted. When the pins are engaged, they span the slot between the Receiving Disc and Retention Disc and interface with the conveyance transferring load from Driving Disc Subassembly to the Driven Disc Subassembly.

Abstract: A portable, compact computer and projector stand is provided that is adapted to be utilized in conjunction with a cellular phone storage adapter and a cup holding adapter. The cell phone storage adapter is formed of a separable housing forming a containment cavity therein. An attachment pin is mounted cantilevered from the outer periphery of the housing to provide for attachment through impingement with a first receiving hole in the table top. A closed cell foam insert fitted within the containment cavity is adapted to graspingly receive, and consequently securely hold, a cellular telephone, portable digital assistant (PDA) or similar handheld electronic device. The cup holding adapter for use in conjunction with the stand incorporates a coaster support platform having an attachment pin mounted cantilevered from the outer periphery of the platform to provide for attachment through impingement with a second receiving hole in the table top.

Abstract: A thermally insulated glass and/or bottle is provided as an insulated glass and/or bottle made from glass with an interstitial space in the sides and bottom. The sides and bottom of the glass are double-walled, forming an interstitial space for insulating purposes. The interstitial space can be left filled with air, or filled with an insulating material such as STYROFOAM®. The interstitial space not only reduces or eliminates condensation from forming on the exterior of the glass when filled with cold liquid on hot, humid days, but it also helps keep the liquid cooler.

Abstract: A pet toy is provided having a tubular, linearly elongated main body terminated at each end by a replaceable wing assembly. As the toy is flying through the air, the wings provides a visual ‘flapping’ like stimuli, similar to that of the wings of a bird. Abstract: An illuminating device which utilizing multiple colored Light Emitting Diodes (LED's) is disclosed. The device incorporates a voltage regulator to allow it to operate on a wide range of voltages typically found on aircraft electrical systems. Additional controls are provided for brightness or dimming controls, and for the selection of the color output. The device includes a mounting clip for attaching it to a boom microphone on an aviation headset, though it could be used in a handheld manner as well.

Abstract: A simulated mouse toy having a prerecorded sound chip therein is provided which emits a prerecorded sound upon physical movement, such as when swatted, rolled or carried, to encourage pets to continue to play. A motion imparting device formed of a solenoid is operatively connected in conjunction the prerecorded sound chip to simultaneously provide a jittery or twitching visual stimulation.

Abstract: A digital, wireless PC/PCS modem is disclosed for incorporation with personal home computers, laptop units, hand-held computer units, and cellular phones for providing wireless communication via satellite transmission. The invention is a device that combines a personal computer (PC) modem with a satellite link and relay system for computers. This will allow the user to establish a communications link with Internet™ access, access to direct dial telephones, faxing on demand, hyperterminal access for remote computer link-up, video, and voice applications. Utilizing existing software and hardware, this invention uses digital satellite technology and combines it with a PC modem for access to various communication links including phone links, without a phone line. In order to accomplish this, the laptop has a type II PCMCIA card slot for receiving the PC modem. An antenna is attached to the plug-in cellular phone card for the modem using a swivel joint assembly.
