Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for regulating the output moisture content of tobacco conditioned by a loosening/conditioning and optionally casing (saucing) drum comprising injecting a throughflow of water into the infeed region of the drum by a first nozzle regulated depending on the target value for the tobacco output moisture content and the actual values for the tobacco mass flow, the steam throughflow and the tobacco input moisture content; and injecting a throughflow of water in the outlet region of the drum through a second nozzle, the target value of which is computed depending on the target value and actual value for the tobacco output moisture content.

Abstract: A transfer car for transporting a container of tobacco from a first location to a second location includes an outer frame and an inner frame rotatable within the outer frame. The interior frame is adapted to hold a container therein and is provided with a lid lifter for removing the lid from a container. A system for rotating the container from an upright position to a dumping position is also included. The transfer car is also provided with an internal power source for moving the transfer car from the first location to the second location.
Abstract: A motorized retractable speed bump or warning device wherein the raising and lowering of the retractile is controlled by multiple remote means from signals generated by traffic conditions. The motorized retractable speed bump, wherein a retractile comprising of bi-folding hinged plates, which are elevated to present a visible obstruction to motor vehicles, and a position restraining device, operated by rotary and or linear motor drive means, by on/off manual push button switching, or through a series of Programmable Logic Controllers, by way of analog or digital signals emanating from permanently mounted speed detecting devices.
