  • Patent number: 5222460
Abstract: This invention is a drop-lock adjustment used on automatic feeders to adjust the feed gates either up or down and includes shielded drop-locks connected to control rods that pass through a channel adjacent slot-like openings in such channel to prevent the animals being fed from tripping the lock to cause either more or less feed to be dispensed.

  • Patent number: 5176468
Abstract: This invention is an erosion control device in the form of a plurality of nestled, triangular-in-cross-section modules forming units. These units can be interconnected to form erosion control device of any desired length. These erosion control and refurbishing devices are preferably made from recycled plastic and can be sand colored to blend with the natural scenery. They also will not harm the environment nor injure people who come into contact with the same.

  • Patent number: 5168909
Abstract: This invention is a combination golf club head cover and hand warmer. The head cover stays on the head of the golf club to protect the same except when the club is being used. In the present case, the cover fits on the longest club which is the one the golfers traditionally rest their hand on when carrying their clubs in a golf bag. During cold weather the hand of the golfer can be slipped into the handwarming pocket or pouch to eliminate the need for taking gloves or mittens on and off during play while at the same time keeping the hand warm and ready to play.

  • Patent number: 5126284
Abstract: A semiconductor contact system is formed by inductively coupling an ohmic electrode, such as a metal, to a semiconductor region by means of an intervening diamagnetic boride glass, which necessarily constrains most electric current to prevail along the uniaxial normal to the semiconductor contact. The low permeability of the diamagnetic boride glass results in a low resistance to direct-current electricity along the uniaxial displacement axis of the diamagnetic boride glass. The transient time constant associated with the inductor is generally much smaller than the semiconductor device switching times, with the steady-state current being essentially established by the semiconductor resistance so as to result in an ohmic semiconductor contact void any significant rectification effects. An ohmic contact by means of an inductively-coupled electrode is generally independent of the semiconductor conductivity or ionicity.

  • Patent number: 5121708
Abstract: This invention is a system for raising land and aquatic, plant and animal crops in a symbiotic-type polyculture using organic/sustainable methods of agronomy, animal husbandry, aquaculture, and hydroponics whereby yields are optimized while reducing production costs, conserving resources, and protecting the environment. Year-round production is also achieved by providing a canopy means along with additional environmental control and supplemental systems that increase yields in temperature zones normally having ambient temperature fluctuations too great to sustain production for more than a few months per year. Any number of cropping combinations are possible, but as an example, this system would establish a beneficial symbiotic-type production link between poultry, microalgae, fish and aquatic animals that consume algae, and vegetables or other land crops.

  • Patent number: 4328794
Abstract: This invention is a traction splint including a tension applying mechanism with an outer knob to apply tension to a tension stirrup through belting wound about a shaft while such tension is released by turning of an inner knob in the opposite direction. Both of these knobs are uni-directional relative to rotative movement but in opposite directions. A folding support leg and relatively simple and yet extremely efficient bindings and appendage supports are also included features.

  • Patent number: 4311227
Abstract: This invention is a vending system for floral type products and includes a plurality of product containing cubicles with an access door operatively associated with each. A controllable locking structure is used with each door and is connected to a validator for accepting and totaling money. Selectors are provided for choosing the appropriate cubicle door to be opened and these selectors are resettable to a different amount of money by simply resetting a dial on the exterior backside of the panel.
