Abstract: A basketball training device having a support hoop of essentially the same diameter of the conventional hoop to circumferentially mate with same; a secondary hoop of larger diameter relative to the conventional hoop; arms for attaching the support hoop to the secondary hoop; and clamps for removably connecting the support hoop to the conventional hoop. A method for improving the shooting accuracy of a basketball player comprising positioning the secondary hoop with the portion nearest the backboard tangential and coplanar with the conventional hoop, and with the portion opposite the backboard projecting upwardly and outwardly from the conventional hoop.
Abstract: An overhead door cable safety device for suspending adjacent a cable drum on an overhead door assembly and monitoring the condition and location of the cable on the drum. The cable when becoming loose on the cable drum or frayed contacting the cable safety device, which in turn closes an electrical switch for signalling the operator of the overhead door that the cable on the cable drum is in need of repair.
Abstract: An anti-backflow device for preventing fluids from flowing back into a water supply system. The device adapted for attaching to a connecting rod inside a sillcock tube of a standard antifreeze sillcock. The device held in an open position for allowing water to flow through the sillcock under normal operating conditions. The device automatically stopping the backflow of water in the sillcock should there be a loss of water pressure to the sillcock and preventing fluids such as insecticides, chemicals, or the like mixed with water from polluting the water system.
Abstract: A solar panel having at least two corrugated heat retention surfaces, each including a pair of opposite sides and opposing ends. One of the retention surfaces has a surface defining a plurality of dimples. The retention surfaces are mated with each other and remain separated by the dimples. One end of the mated heat retention surfaces includes an orifice means to control the flow of water between the mated surfaces and the other end has an outlet for solar heated water.
Abstract: A farm implement having a main frame; at least two carriage wheels for supporting the frame; a plurality of brackets mounted in pairs on the frame, each pair of brackets defining a sled; a plurality of knives mounted on each sled in a generally horizontal plane; a weeder bar rotatably supported by the brackets; and a hydraulic motor mounted on the frame for driving the weeder bar in a counter clockwise direction as the implement is moved in a direction whereby the carriage wheels rotate in a clockwise direction.
Abstract: An improved fluid pump having two or more cylindrical eccentric or elliptical rotors drive connected to revolve together at identical angular velocities, and positioned in cylindrical chambers for compressing fluids therein. The pump includes separate intake ports and discharge ports to and from the chambers allowing the pump to be used as a single stage pump or by connecting the discharge port of one chamber with the intake port of the other chamber the pump can be used as a two stage pump for increased pressure with less volume.
Abstract: A fuel device for a gasoline engine. The device eliminating the use of a carburetor on the engine and supplying the engine's intake manifold with an air fuel mixture pre-heated in a reactor housing. The air fuel mixture being heated by the engine's cooling system.
Abstract: A shank and coulter mounting clamp for attaching to an angular shaped plow frame tube. The clamp securing a rolling coulter and rigid shank to the plow frame with the rolling coulter disposed in front of and adjacent the throat of the shank. The clamp providing for a uniform distribution of load forces transmitted from the shank and coulter to the plow frame.
Abstract: An infant toy for mounting on an infant seat, car seat, infant bed, stroller, or the like. The infant toy suspending play objects such as bells, mirrors, stars, or other attractable objects for the amusement of an infant. The infant toy adjustable for mounting on various sizes of infant seats, car seats, or other types of seats and beds used for holding an infant.
Abstract: An improved means and process for providing for the removal of hydrogen from a catalytic cathode means whereby the hydrogen may be recombined with oxygen to provide explosive force to power an internal combustion engine.
Abstract: A reciprocating airlock valve used in the transfer of granular and powdered stock between two operations and the maintenance of a pressure differential therebetween. The airlock valve designed to maintain an air seal between the two operations while providing continuous material flow through the valve.
Abstract: An improved one-piece thermoplastic meat hook for use in carrying meat products such as beef, pork, etc. The meat hook is a single molded piece of plastic formed by injection molding and characterized by having an annular cross section with reinforcing stiffening ribs around semicircular end portions and along the length thereof for increasing the amount of tensional load that can be placed thereon.
Abstract: An implement hitch assembly pivotally attached to the rear of a self-propelled pulling vehicle. The hitch assembly tows a front agricultural implement and a rear agricultural implement in a tandem position when traveling on a roadway. By releasing a front latch and at the same time releasing a cable that holds a rear wheel, the forward movement of the implements towed behind the pulling vehicle allows the rear wheel to fall back and moves the rear implement in a side-by-side position with the front implement when the implements are to be used in the field. When the implements are in a side-by-side position, the rear implement may be moved back to a tandem position with the front implement by releasing a rear latch.
Abstract: A composition and method of inducing emesis to preclude death from accidental or intentional overdosage of a therapeutic composition. The surface of the therapeutic composition is coated with an emetic chemical of such quantity that if the therapeutic composition is consumed in moderation or in accordance with the prescription, no emesis occurs; but if consumed excessively and not in accordance with the prescription, emesis results to render the therapeutic composition harmless and precludes death or serious illness.
