  • Patent number: 7536823
Abstract: A flying bird decoy for attracting wildlife wherein flying bird decoys may be supported on each end of one or more rotatable rods or arms, with wings that selectively fold and flap up and down in life-like, actual flying, landing and take-off movements. The bird decoys simulate foraging, predatory or waterfowl birds and in one embodiment a pair of the bird decoys are mounted on the ends of a rod or arm(s) rotatably mounted on a pole or stake support, using throat mounts. In another embodiment the bird decoys are secured to the ends of the arm(s) at the head without the use of throat mounts, for flying in a circle on the arm(s) to attract the wildlife. In a further embodiment one or both of the bird decoys are configured to simulate one of the above bird groups and fly to generate rotation of the arm(s), with one wing folded and the other flapping to simulate injury or distress.

  • Patent number: 7506601
Abstract: A boat fender mount which is characterized by a fender mount plate of selected shape and size adapted for receiving a boat fender and a selected number (typically two) of piling plates typically fixed or hingedly attached to the fender mount plate in spaced-apart relationship with respect to each other and having aligned, adjustable piling openings or recesses for securing the fender mount plate and the attached boat fender to a piling. In one embodiment the boat fender is secured to the fender mount plate by mount straps or ties which extend from the boat fender through openings provided in the fender mount plate. In another embodiment the fender mount plate is oval or elliptically-shaped and is capable of receiving the boat fender along the long or short axis, vertically or horizontally, with the boat fender in position over a water body to provide cushioning for boats moored adjacent to the piling.

  • Patent number: 7464908
Abstract: A rotatably adjustable quiver support which is characterized in a preferred embodiment by a quiver mount bracket for removable attachment to the conventional quiver mount plate on a quiver containing a supply of arrows, a clip base directly rotatably engaging the quiver mount bracket or alternatively, rotatably engaging a spacer connected to the quiver mount bracket and a rotatable element extending from the quiver mount bracket to the clip base or from the spacer attaching the quiver mount bracket to the clip base, to facilitate incremental rotation of the quiver and quiver mount bracket with respect to a point of mount, typically facilitated by a clip secured to the clip base.

  • Patent number: 7461831
Abstract: A telescoping workover rig is characterized by a derrick having a bottom mast section mounted on a base or carrier and a top mast section telescopically fitted in the bottom mast section. In functional configuration a system of tram sheaves mounted on movable trams and connected to opposite fixed stationary sheaves by a continuous cable, serve to raise and lower a travelling block suspended by the cable from travelling block sheaves and crown sheaves in the extended top mast section. The trams that mount the tram sheaves are fitted to the ends of one or a pair of cylinder rods extending from a corresponding tram drive cylinder or cylinders.

  • Patent number: 7448405
Abstract: Dual valve and tri-valve drain and pipe-cleaning devices which are characterized by a length of pipe having one or two valves such as gate valves and a nipple extending from the pipe and fitted with a third valve for receiving a flush hose or the outlet nozzle of a compressed air cylinder. When the cleaning device is inserted in the drain line beneath a sink or drain system, the valves can be manipulated to flush the drain line, including the main drain line extending from the sink or drain, by the introduction of water under pressure or compressed air, as desired. Clearing of the drain line(s) downstream of the cleaning device is typically effected using the dual valve system, while flushing of the downstream drain line as well as that portion of the drain extending from the sink or drain system area to the device, is achieved using the tri-valve device.

  • Patent number: 7448640
Abstract: A pin-engaging drawbar wedge and lock plate wedge are designed to mount in the drawbar of a trailer hitch or alternative trailer and accessory hitch or receiver assembly. The pin-engaging drawbar wedge includes a bolt extending into the drawbar and in one embodiment, having the bolt head secured to a wedge positioned beneath the locking pin extending transversely through the receiver and the drawbar. Alternatively, the bolt threads into a nut secured to the wedge. The wedge bevel face or surface engages the locking pin and the locking pin openings are typically elliptical or elongated in the drawbar, to facilitate rotating the bolt or nut and forcing the wedge against the locking pin, thus tightening the drawbar against the hitch receiver. In another embodiment the bolt extends through the drawbar and a slotted guide plate to a lock plate and rotating the nut forces the lock plate against the locking pin and the guide plate and tightens the drawbar against the hitch receiver.

  • Patent number: 7350260
Abstract: A mop wringer and handle stabilizer for a mop bucket fitted with a mop wringer and a bucket handle, which in a first embodiment includes a wire clip pivotally mounted on the mop bucket handle and designed for manipulating and tensioning the wire clip on the mop wringer and stabilizing the mop wringer on the mop bucket. A handle bend is optionally provided in the bucket handle for receiving the mop handle of a mop located in the mop bucket and stabilizing the mop in the mop bucket. A wringer handle adaptor is attached to the mop wringer compression handle and is configured and located to optionally receive and stabilize the mop handle when the mop is located in the mop wringer. In a second embodiment the clip element includes a plate shaped to define an engaging member, front leg, top leg and rear leg combination that pivotally mounts on the bucket handle by means of a reverse bend extending from the rear leg.

  • Patent number: 7243739
Abstract: A coiled tubing directional drilling apparatus which is operated by a mud motor and is characterized by a fixed housing and a rotary steerable bent housing or sub which is selectively rotatable with respect to the fixed housing at a fixed angle bend by a shifting mechanism, typically operated by a reversible electric motor. The motor and shifting mechanism rotate with the drive shaft and employ a lead screw in a cross-nut arrangement that selectively engages and disengages a castle lock or power take-off drive system responsive to the direction of rotation of the motor, for effecting 360-degree rotation of the bent housing with respect to the fixed housing. A sun gear and pinion gear planetary gear system facilitate rotation of the bent housing with respect to the fixed housing at a slower speed than the drive train and bit box components of the device.

In a preferred embodiment the protective ear shades curve from the headband or side margin of the cap upwardly and outwardly in a cupped configuration toward the crown and then downwardly and forwardly to the bill of the cap. In another preferred embodiment of the invention one or more stiffeners or reinforcements are provided in the ear shades to maintain the shades in the desired protruding, cupped and oblate configuration over the ears.
