  • Patent number: 7765629
Abstract: A toothbrush head of an electric toothbrush, which comprises a handpiece equipped with a drive, a brush head carrier that is connectible to the handpiece, and several bristle supports that carry a respective bristle set, are movably mounted on the brush head carrier and drivable in an oscillatory manner by the drive, each of the bristle supports being adapted to be coupled to a translator element of the drive by means of a respective drive coupling. According to the invention the bristle supports each have drive coupling means enabling them to be coupled to eccentric drivers of the drive translator element which is adapted to be driven for rotation about a longitudinal axis. Owing to the arrangement of two separately mounted bristle supports which are driven by a common drive translator element about various axes of motion, it is possible to achieve an improved cleaning effect by simple means.

  • Patent number: 7588822
Abstract: A method of surface cross-linking superabsorbent polymer particles using UV irradiation is provided. The superabsorbent polymer particles for use in the method have a relatively high degree of neutralization. Brønsted acids are selectively applied onto the surface of the superabsorbent polymer particles to selectively facilitate a relatively high number of protonated carboxyl groups at the surface of the superabsorbent polymer particles while the relatively high degree of neutralization in the core of the superabsorbent polymer particles remains substantially unaffected.

  • Patent number: 7582075
Abstract: A disposable absorbent article is provided. The article comprises one or more disposable absorbent articles having a configuration corresponding to a wearer's stage of development, the disposable absorbent articles being enclosed in a package; a brand indicator disposed on the package; a line-up indicator disposed on the package, the line-up indicator including visual indicia and narrative indicia; and a stage specific indicator disposed on the package. The line-up indicator and stage specific indicator associate the absorbent article configuration with a corresponding stage of development, the association enabling a consumer to identify the appropriate absorbent article configuration for a wearer. An array of disposable absorbent article configurations is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7576138
Abstract: A method of surface cross-linking superabsorbent polymer particles using UV irradiation is provided. The method is carried out in a so-called drum reactor, which comprises a hollow drum and an irradiation source. The drum has a longitudinal axis and a cross-section. Superabsorbent polymer particles are fed into the drum and are irradiated while they move within the drum, which is rotated around its longitudinal axis. The irradiation source is provided such that the radiation emitted by the irradiation source is able to reach superabsorbent polymer particles within said drum. The irradiation source for use in the method is able to emit UV radiation of a wavelength between about 100 nm and about 200 nm.

Abstract: This invention is directed to absorbent structures and preferred absorbent articles, comprising solid, typically particulate, water-swellable material that comprises coated water-swellable, preferably hydrogel-forming polymers, which are coated with a coating agent, which is such that it does not rupture when the polymers swell in a liquid, e.g., water or saline water. Hereto, the coating agent is extensible in wet state and comprises thereto a wet-extensible material that has a tensile stress at break in the wet state of at least 1 MPa. Typically, the coating agent comprises thereto an elastomeric polymeric material.

  • Patent number: 6492985
Abstract: According to the invention, computerized methods, computer-readable medium containing computer-executable instructions, and apparatus are disclosed for presenting, manipulating, and serving immersive (i.e., panoramic) images. A browser or other display mechanism presents various views of the immersive image comprised of one or more sub-images received from a server, memory, or stored device. Additionally, a server is able to discriminate which type of Web page is provided for efficiently presenting views of an immersive image based on the capabilities of the viewing browser. In this manner, a user is able to efficiently view an immersive image without requiring a Java or other enhance capability browser. Moreover, the invention also provides for determining and presenting a reference indicator which identifies the portion of the immersive image. The reference indicator can also be manipulated to display new perspective views of the immersive image.
