Patent number: 6183636Abstract: A combination faucet assembly and filter assembly is provided wherein these respective assemblies are interconnected in a side-by-side relationship by pipes preferably located in a common housing structure. The combination is adapted for use in association with a kitchen sink or the like. The faucet assembly incorporates a valve for mixing hot and cold tap water and for diverting cold tap water for passage through a filter in the filter assembly. A spout is preferably associated with the faucet assembly. A pivotable faucet lever is preferably associated with the faucet assembly. The lever has a universal type of movement capability and is manipulated by an operator to accomplish regulating of either such mixing or such diverting, and also the regulating of water volume issuing from the spout. Preferably, in mixing hot and cold water in an operator selected ratio are fed to a mixing chamber adjacent the valve before dispensing of the resulting water mixture from a spout.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 1999Date of Patent: February 6, 2001Assignee: Pure Water, Inc.Inventors: David L. Bowers, Troy Livingston, Steve Park

Patent number: 6116471Abstract: Improved apparatus and method are provided for the dispensing of particulate material from the gravitationally bottom discharge mouth of a hopper. In a presently preferred form, the particulate material moves downwardly first through a conically sided zone to a toroidally-configured aperture, and, after passage therethrough, moves downwardly through a cavity that preferably has a cross-sectionally circular perimeter. Centrally upstanding in the cavity is a body with preferably conically diverging sides over which the particulate material moves downwardly to a cover plate or deck which has a circumferentially extending discharge opening through which the particulate material is discharged. Most preferably, the body also extends upwardly through the aperture and through the conically sided zone. Particulate material downward movement and discharge is produced by shaking, preferably vibration, of the deck. A presently preferred particulate material is fish feed.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 1999Date of Patent: September 12, 2000Inventor: Gary E. Miller

Patent number: 4309380Abstract: A process for forming a hollow multilayered thermoplastic article utilizing a liner and a core rod formed at least in part of a porous metal and having a blow slot. A vacuum is applied to the liner through the porous metal part of the core rod and optionally the blow slot and blowing pressure is applied through the blow slot.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1979Date of Patent: January 5, 1982Assignee: National Can CorporationInventor: Donald G. Sauer

Patent number: 4304542Abstract: A blow slot equipped core rod assembly which incorporates a porous metal wall portion. Internal conduit means in the assembly permit a fluid (such as air, or the like) to be supplied to said blow slot (when open) and to such porous metal wall portion under superatmospheric or under subatmospheric pressure. The core rod is particularly useful in the manufacture of multilayered thermoplastic containers by injection blow molding procedures.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1979Date of Patent: December 8, 1981Assignee: National Can CorporationInventor: Donald G. Sauer

Patent number: 4295811Abstract: Improved apparatus for forming multilayered thermoplastic articles employing a blow slot equipped, porous metal section equipped core rod. In addition to control means, the apparatus employs means for opening and closing the blow slot of the core rod, detachable connection means for connecting an internal fluid passageway in said core rod with a vacuum source, and other detachable connection means for connecting such internal fluid passageway with a pressurized fluid source. In addition, check valve means is provided for closing said internal fluid passageway when the internal fluid passageway is detached from the detachable connection means joining such with a vacuum source. The vacuum source is connectable with the core rod at the time of liner loading and the pressurized fluid source is connected with the core rod at the time of blow molding.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1979Date of Patent: October 20, 1981Assignee: National Can CorporationInventor: Donald G. Sauer

Patent number: 4256449Abstract: Apparatus and method for draw molding elongated hollow articles from thermoplastic material which is desirably stretch moldable plastic sheet or film. The material is draw molded on an elongated mandrel. Draw ring means are operated cooperatively with the mandrel for drawing the thermoplastic material into an elongated hollow article. Gaseous jet stream doctoring means are operated during drawing for controlling the article wall thickness. The material may be drawn through a wiper ring through which the mandrel is moved with the thermoplastic material during draw molding in combination with subjecting the outer surface of the article being drawn to the action of the doctoring jet stream from an annular orifice. Internal fluid conditioning of the mandrel, as well as alternate negative pressure within the article during molding and stripping pressure from the mandrel into the article at conclusion of molding cycle are provided for. The draw molding is effected without clamping the thermoplastic material.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 1979Date of Patent: March 17, 1981Assignee: National Can CorporationInventor: Donald G. Sauer
