  • Patent number: 5129103
Abstract: A disposable visored cap to be worn during outdoor or indoor activities to shade the wearer's eyes from the light, or as a cap representing a club mascot or displaying advertisements. The visored cap, and blank therefor, is fabricated of a flexible material such as paper, cardboard, and the like. The blank has a first end edge, a second end edge, an arcuate fold line spaced from the first end edge defining a visor therebetween, and defining a front panel between the arcuate fold line and second end edge. To fold the blank to form the cap, the visor is folded in a downwardly direction about the arcuate fold line to project outwardly from the front panel and the front panel depends from the arcuate fold line.

  • Patent number: 5109633
Abstract: A vibratory tumbling and conveying apparatus for surface treating workpieces by tumbling the workpieces in a vibrating bed of surface treating media. The apparatus comprises an elongated housing having an arcuate bottom wall concaving facing the interior of the housing. A vibratory generating device is structurally associated with the housing and generates a vibratory force imparted to the housing comprising a force couple component having a moment constantly varying in magnitude between zero and a maximum, and a linear component constantly varying in magnitude between a maximum and zero. The magnitude of the force couple component and the magnitude of the linear force component vary inversely to one another. The vibrating force imparted to the housing causes points on the concave side of the arcuate surface to move in an ellipical path having its major axis disposed at an acute angle to the imaginary line tangent to the arcuate surface at the point.

  • Patent number: 5056259
Abstract: A solar greenhouse includes a peripheral wall structure defining a partially enclosed area having an open side through which plants can be placed inside for admitting light into the greenhouse, and a roof over the wall structure. The roof is removable from over the peripheral wall structure to provide for the easy installation, removal, or rearranging the plants. The inside surfaces of the wall structure and roof are light reflecting to reflect light entering the greenhouse through the open side toward the plants inside the greenhouse. The greenhouse also includes a floor which is a separate component from the peripheral wall structure. The exposed surface of the floor can also be light reflecting. The inclination of the roof relative to the horizontal can be changed to adjust the angle of light reflection of the roof.
