Abstract: An ignition coil, particularly for use in connection with an internal combustion engine, wherein a toroidal permanent magnet is located at one end thereof between the magnetic core and the outer cylinder. This magnet provides a reverse bias magnetic field which interacts with the field generated by the primary coil to produce a composite magnetic field which increases the efficiency of the ignition coil. The reverse bias magnetic field acts in the opposite direction from the magnetic field generated by the primary coil. In another embodiment of the coil, a support is provided in which the toroidal magnet is placed. The support may have an open top or open sides. In the former case, the complete magnet is pressed into the support and retained by gripping portions. In the latter case, the magnet is composed of at least two members, each of which is pressed into the magnet holding chamber formed by the support. Gripping portions retain the members in position.
Abstract: An electrophotographic photoreceptor has a layered-type structure comprising an electrically conductive support having thereon a charge generating layer comprising a charge generating organic material and an electron transportable carrier transport layer comprising an electron transport organic material and a binder, and the electron transport material under a mutual molecular aggregation state of the electron transport material which results in a new adsorption component at 20 nm or more longer wavelength side than the maximum monomoleclar absorption wavelength of the electron transport material is incorporated in the electron transportable carrier transport layer and the weight ratio of the electron transport material to the binder of the electron transportable carrier transport layer ranges from 25/100 to 200/100.According to the foregoing, it is possible to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has a small residual electric potential and can assure an image contrast.
Abstract: Disclosed are a silver halide light-sensitive material for forming a monochrome-image which material is colored in orange, a silver halide light-sensitive material for forming a monochrome-image which material has an identical printing level as at least one of the silver halide color light-sensitive materials provided for a negative-positive type color photographic system, and a photo-taking unit loading and packaging in a photographable state at least one of the monochrome image forming silver halide light-sensitive material. The invention provides a silver halide light-sensitive material for forming a monochrome-image which is suitable for a negative-positive system color photographic processing and is easy for printing onto a photographic paper.
Abstract: A silver halide light sensitive color photographic material comprising a support having thereon hydrophilic colloid layers including a silver halide emulsion layer, at least one of the hydrophilic colloid layers containing a DIR coupler represented by the following formulas: ##STR1## wherein Y represents a yellow coupler moiety, and the residual atomic group represents a development inhibitor residue capable of being released from Y upon coupling reaction with an oxidation product of a color developing agent.

Abstract: An ignition coil having a transformer surrounding a cylindrical magnetic core. The transformer has a primary coil, to which a DC potential is applied in bursts and which generates a primary magnetic field, and a secondary coil, which retrieves induced electromotive force. An outer cylinder, surrounding the transformer, is also provided. At at least one end of the ignition coil at least one toroidal magnet is located. The inside and outside perimeters of the toroidal magnets have polarities which are opposite to each other. When a plurality of magnets is provided, they are nested inside one another between the magnetic core and the outer cylinder. The direction of the reverse biasing magnetic field generated by the magnet(s) is opposite to that of primary magnetic field generated by the primary coil. The foregoing construction provides a compact ignition coil which is efficient in operation and is capable of making effective use of the induced electromotive force generated.
Abstract: An insulation displacement terminal of a high quality and high performance can be produced by designing the terminal in accordance with data measurement under a condition similar to an actual insulation displacement connection. An extent of insertion of an insulation sheath electric cable 6, a distance between a pair of metal blocks 11 and 12 spaced in parallel to each other, and a reaction force and a contact resistance acting between the cable 6 and the spaced metal blocks 11, 12 are measured, respectively, while inserting the cable 6 into a gap between the metal blocks 11 and 12 having a tapered portion on an end of each block. Then, an extent of insertion of the cable .DELTA.2, a gap distance WS2, a reaction force F2, and a contact resistance R2 after completing the insertion are obtained and at the same time an occurrence of broken wires in the cable is judged. These steps are repeated while changing an initial gap WS between the metal blocks 11 and 12.

Abstract: A highly lubricative sound-absorbing material is produced inexpensively and attenuates sliding noise and vibration noise. The highly lubricative sound-absorbing material comprises a rubber sheet (21) and a highly lubricative coating layer (22) formed directly on a surface of the rubber sheet by coating the surface with a mixture of an adhesive and a fluororesin system coating agent such as an polytetrafluoroethylene resin or the like by a thickness of 1 to 10 .mu.m. The rubber sheet (21) is formed into an annular shape and coated on its surface with the highly lubricative sound-absorbing layer (22) having a thickness of 1 to 10 .mu.m, preferably 3 .mu.m. The rubber sheet (21) is attached to a surface of a cable reel on which a flat cable slides.
Abstract: A device for feeding flat, flexible products from the bottom of a stack. The stack is supported by rollers arranged like spokes in a wheel that is continuously rotating. Feeding occurs when a vacuum cup pulls the leading edge of a product between subsequent rollers. A rotary conveyor following feeding employing rollers with irregular surfaces is incorporated to insert the products into a series of pockets passing beneath.

Abstract: A tabular silica dispersion is disclosed, which is obtained by mixing a tabular silica, gelatin, a cyclodextrin and a compound capable of crosslinking gelatin. C. which comprises a hydrophobic resin, and a silver halide emulsion layer and optionally a non-light-sensitive hydrophilic colloid layer provided on the subbing layer, and at least one of the silver halide emulsion layer and the non-light-sensitive hydrophilic colloid layer contains an inorganic colloidal particle or a composite latex comprising an inorganic particle and a hydrophobic resin in an amount of 0.1 g/m.sup.2 to 2.0 g/m.sup.2 of in total.
Abstract: A watertight grommet for a wire harness including a core made up of a pair of complementary semi cylinders which are placed together to form a complete cylinder surrounding the harness. The harness extends through the bore of the complete cylinder and is tightly retained thereby in a watertight matter. There is an enlarged inner diameter of the bore near the front end, thus forming a gap between the harness and the inner surface of the bore wherein a sealant is introduced. A cylindrical sleeve is drawn over the outside of the core to complete the seal. The latter can have a groove therein for mounting on a separator.
Abstract: A silver halide light-sensitive color photographic material is disclosed. The material comprises thermotropic low molecular crystal. The material is improved in light fastness of a dye image and dye-forming efficiency.
Abstract: An electrical connection unit having a junction block and a plurality of connectors mounted thereon. The junction block carries a plurality of electrical elements, also mounted thereon and in electrical contact with the elements. There is a plurality of wire harnesses extending from the connectors and the side walls of either the junction block or a main box are extended beyond the connectors in a direction away from the elements. The remote edges of the side walls bear against the vehicle body and provide a space between the edges and the connectors. This construction provides a space through which the wire harnesses can be passed and a simple means of waterproofing without the necessity of a bottom cover. In addition, the pull-out section is composed of two semi-cylinders, which are hinged to each other so that the wire harnesses can be placed therein and one of the semi-cylinders rotated about the hinge, closed, and latched.

Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a trouble location in a wire harness can easily detect a location of any trouble such as breakage or short circuit in electric wires in a wire harness and in particular can detect the trouble location by way of a simple structure utilizing a portion with a shield function. In the detecting apparatus, a pulse signal is transmitted in electric wires (2) in a wire harness (1), in which a trouble location is to be detected, and in a sensing line juxtaposed along the electric wires (2) at their ends. A measuring device (20) receives a reflected wave from a transmitted wave and measures a difference in time between the transmitted wave and the reflected wave. A distance from a transmitting end point to a trouble location point is determined in accordance with the difference in time and a signal propagation velocity. Each electric wire (2) in the wire harness (1) is a single wire having no splice portion and a shielded wire having a conductive shield sheath (10).

Abstract: The storage box employs an inner box surrounded by an outer box. The inner box houses an electronic control unit. Between the two boxes is a space in which air circulates to cool the electronic control unit. A hole in the inner box is sealed with a filter that is impervious to water but allows air to freely pass. Thus, the electronic control unit is cooled without being damaged by water and dirt in the cooling air.

Abstract: A manufacturing method for a solid processing composition for processing a silver halide photographic light sensitive material, wherein the composition is manufactured by using a stirring granulation method, and at least part of said stirring granulation is performed in the temperature range of 35.degree. C. to 120.degree. C.The manufacturing method for the solid processing composition mentioned above, wherein the content of the added solution in the stirring granulation process is 0.01 to 2.0 weight % of the total weight of said solid processing composition and wherein not less than 60% of the total weight of said solid processing composition has particle size of 1.0 .mu.m to 150 .mu.m.The solid processing composition mentioned above may contain reductone derivative, sugar derivative and polyethylene glycol derivative.
