Abstract: A bendable metal stamping has upstanding arms adapted to overlie the narrow dimension of a wooden stringer in use as a bottom plate of a building frame. The stamping has legs extendable toward the perimeter of the building and are attached to the floor. The stamping is bendable along a line parallel to the bottom edge of the inner one of the arms and the inner edge of the legs.
Abstract: A set of substantially square blocks which are hingedly interconnected in a linear series by ribbons which are fixed at both ends each block to both ends each adjacent block wherein each block consists two mating plates various colors made a dimensionally stable material which are fixed together holding the ribbons taut and fixed between them.
Abstract: A hockey puck for use on surfaces having high friction resistances such as roads and streets consists of a hard rubber body similar to conventional ice hockey pucks and having Nylon like material fixed to both faces of the puck with knob-like protuberances projection outwardly of the puck faces to cause the puck to ride smoothly, like on ice, when shot across a road surface.
Abstract: A looped elastomeric strap is combined with a sinusoidal shaped snubbing clinch having a hook at one end to secure to an eyelet of a tarpaulin or to the free end of the looped strap. Parallel spaced bars are contiguously formed with the distal end of the hook to clinch and hold pairs of lays of the strap in non slip mode in the clinch.
Abstract: A pair of plates are interposed between the head of a screw means fastened through a roof covering and into a roof surface and truss therebelow. One plate is a lock nut composed of ratchet toothed means fixed to and facing downwards of the screw head and the second plate is a disc-shaped member fixed to the sheath of the roof covering and has ratchet teeth facing upwards and engageable with the teeth of the screw lock nut member when the screw is mated with the disc-shaped member.
Abstract: A weatherseal flashing is made from sheet vulcanized rubber and surrounds a skylight frame situate on a roof curb. The weatherseal consists of a plurality of sealedly lapping panels each embodying a relatively wide apron and an upstanding flange extending along one elongated edge of the rectangular-shaped panel. The ends of each panel flange have overlapping sealedly connected wings on their ends to provide collectively, a continuous fastener for surrounding the inner side or leg of the skylight assembly to make a co-planar seal in engagement with the combined projecting curb and the skylight frame, and the roof surface.
Abstract: The invention comprises a pair of suction cups held on each side of the inside of a windshield workpiece to be installed in vehicle body. The pair of suction cups are held together by an adjustable strap means whereby equal tension pull can be applied around the perimeter of the windshield as it is drawn down into the bonding agent around the opening of the vehicle body. A turnbuckle means is fastened intermediate the strap and is attached also to a point midway between the driver and passenger seats of the vehicle by means of the existing safety belts of the vehicle.
Abstract: A pair of truck vehicles are manually moveable along the top and side edge running surfaces of parallel joist members of a factory roof a-building. Each truck runs on a separate joist and each has wheels running on the top surface of the joist with horizontal axles journaled to the truck chassis and has pairs of guide wheels with verticle axles journaled to the chassis and running on top side edge of the joist. The trucks carry between them bundles of corrugated sheet steel roof decking for manually and sequentially fitting to the roof of the factory from the trucks.
Abstract: One of a pair of concentric ring hoops overlaps the other and holds the perimeter edge of a drum head vibratile element in tension between the mating overlapping faces of the hoops. The hoops are held together by a tensioning bolt threadable into a bracket connected to a lower hoop which has another skin stretched between a stepped inner annular groove on its inner face edge. A drum shell made of a composite of rigid foam interior spaced apart by a pair of epoxy impregnated carbon fibresheets is held by the lower second drum skin into enclosing engagement on its upper perimeter edge with an inner stop flange and vertical wall face of the inner hoop ring of the drum head vibratile skin assembly.
Abstract: An upwardly open wallpaper wetting trough made from flexible polystyrene has a metal rod force fitted between the opposite ends of the trough and has vinyl tips fitted over the rod ends to protect the ends of the trough from puncture. An inwardly opening, outwardly extending channel is formed in each end of the trough to receive the ends of the rod in a force fit to maintain the rod in position while a sheet of wallpaper is being pulled through water in the trough guided by the rod.
Abstract: A window garden is comprised of a fixed frame secured to the perimeter of a window opening in a dwelling house and has an outwardly moveable sash frame fixed and hingeable to the top edge of the window frame. A pair of transparent domed members having dead air or vacuum therebetween form a plant displayable enclosure in the window which is protected from frost and obtains maximum winter sunlight when oriented in a southern exposure of a dwelling. Means such as nylon or polypropelene screen material are provided between said fixed and moveable frames to exclude insects when the domed sash frame is moveable outward to allow air to enter therebetween.
Abstract: A gas burner head for bushing out or spreading a gas flame adapted for use in an oil burning firebox which comprises in combination with a gas delivery tube and an air power, forced air, surrounding, air delivery duct, a pair of closely adjacent plates spaced at right angles to the cylinder-axis of the nozzle of the gas delivery tube. The nozzle abutts the outer or spreading one of the plates and is circumferentially perforate on its upper sides in the space between the plates to deliver gas therebetween. The air delivery duct has an air discharge opening surrounding the outer edges of the plates which is of an area greater than that of said nozzle and spreading plate but providing relatively narrow circumscribing air passage therebetween. The areas of said plates are predominately circular with the outer spreading plate of smaller diameter than the inner nozzle plate.

Abstract: An incliner chair has a combined seat and backrest member moveable from a normal occupant sitting position to an occupant inclining position by means of a mechanism attached to a stationary chair frame, by an occupant-operable handle. The handle causes a rotary element connecting identical mechanisms on either side of the chair to actuate linkages that simultaneously thrust out a footrest member and pull down and forward the rear of the seat part with its attached back while thrusting up and forward the front of the seat. A two link control assembly is provided to control and guide the back from moving backward from its normal position to the inclined position and comprise a control link attached intermediate its length to a toggle plate which is itself pivotably connected to the chair frame upwardly and rearwardly of the axis of the rotary element.
Abstract: The specification describes a Rankine cycle power plant of the single stage type energized by gasified freon, the latter being derived from freon in the liquid state in a boiler provided in the form of a radio frequency heating cell adapted at low energy input to effect a rapid change of state from liquid freon at a given temperature and pressure to gaseous freon of relatively large volume, thereby to drive a Rankine cycle type of engine recognized in the prior art as a steam engine type of engine of the piston or turbine type.
Abstract: A laundry cart for use by an inhabitant of a high rise apartment dwelling served by passenger elevators comprising a plurality of nesting hampers having a lower hamper moveable in a horizontal plane by wheels or casters fixed to a bottom of said lower hamper. The cart is manipulated by a vertical pole-handle removeably situate in a socket means attached to the outside of a vertical end wall of one of the hampers. The upper hampers have clamps fixed to their top edges for clasping the pole and thereby preventing the loaded hamper from overbalancing when the cart is moved.
