Abstract: A flood fence wherein a plurality of deflectors or sections are placed end to end and into the soil in upright positions. The sections have a saw tooth bottom edge and downwardly extending uprights that engage within a soil substrate to thereby protect the soil on one side of the fence from water flow against the other side. The areas of joining between adjacent sections also include a support and secondary barriers to minimize seepage therepast as well as to assure that the sections remain engaged.
Abstract: The golf cart signal flag system comprises a base which engages golf cart structure and which mounts thereto a chosen plurality of pivotable signal flags, each of which is identifiable as indicating a particular need, want or condition of players on the course to golf course personnel and/or other players. One or more flags may be raised simultaneously. If desired, the system may be created as part of a roof of a golf cart.

Abstract: The structured trading card display kit provides a way of displaying trading cards in an organized manner, based on a particular index assigned to the kit. The index can be selected from a large possible group and the kit includes structure identifying the index as well as a display assembly.
Abstract: The ornamental accessory comprises a planar structure having a uniquely feathered periphery. The particular accessory illustrated is in the form of a star which frictionally engages about a bulb of a string of lights. The injection molding method for producing the accessory comprises the steps of: producing a two piece die for the desired base configuration for the accessory; clamping the die closed through application of clamping pressure against the pieces of the die; and injecting a suitable substance into the die at a pressure greater than the clamping pressure to allow the injected substance to bleed outwardly between the pieces of the die.
Abstract: The fluid collection system comprises a pan and a blade. The pan incorporates a ramp leading to a sump and the sump has sidewalls for containing fluid therein. One sidewall of the sump includes a spout through which fluid is emptied from the sump. The blade has a scraping edge for use in directing fluid up the ramp and into the sump. A screened cap is also provided which engages over a free end of the spout for straining fluid emptied from the sump through the spout.
Abstract: The oil field tool motor is particularly suited for use in the oil well shaft environment wherein the temperature within the shaft can climb to nearly 400° F. and wherein the temperature within the motor can drop to nearly −400° F. when liquid nitrogen is intermittently fed therethrough. The motor incorporates a stator sleeve and guide bearings wherein rubber elements thereof, which cause seizure of the motor due to swelling of the rubber against rotating structures therewithin caused by the high ambient temperature and by impregnation by the liquid nitrogen, are replaced with identically sized and configured elements made of a material having a suitable level of lubricity, which material does not interact chemically with or absorb the nitrogen, and the physical characteristics of which are only minimally affected, if at all, by the ambient temperatures, eliminating seizure of the motor under these conditions of use.
Abstract: The adjustable flapper comprises at least an adjustable flapper comprising at least a base to which is adjustably engaged a seal assembly including a seal, the seal depending from the base, and the seal assembly being movable in at least one desired direction relative to the base to accommodate any required distancing of the seal from a free end of the base and the seal being adjustable in angulation relative to the base.
Abstract: The combination shutoff valve wrench accommodates engagement of a plurality of common valve handle configurations and a plurality of common valve stem broach configurations and is adapted for manipulation by hand or by use of a ratchet or extension therefor.
Abstract: The competitive skill game includes a playing surface upon which any number of a plurality reboundable balls are launched toward and away from a barrier, toward an opponent who attempts a return through use of a paddle, the number of balls in simultaneous play being determined by the desired degree of difficulty for the game.
Abstract: The lost foam method of casting a cylinder liner with water jacket comprises the steps of creating a blank identical to the liner desired, with a drain defined therein, from a heat-dissipated material such as styrofoam, coating the blank with core wash, placing the blank into a casting mold, filling the mold and a chamber defined within the blank with sand, pouring hot metal into the mold, extracting the formed metal liner from the mold, draining sand from within the chamber and plugging the sand drain.
Abstract: The method for removing ethylbenzene from a feed stream for use in producing para-xylene product, the stream containing para-xylene, ortho-xylene, meta-xylene and ethylbenzene. The method incorporates provision of a reactor unit used in a pretreatment step, the reactor containing an isomerization catalyst in an amount sufficient to convert substantially all the ethylbenzene in the feed stream to benzene, and provides for removal of the converted benzene from the stream prior to cyclic retreatments of the stream by a para-xylene separator and an isomerization unit, respectively.
Abstract: The improved process and apparatus of the present invention for extracting high purity aromatics from gasoline using a glycol solvent based extraction process decrease liquid-vapor flashing, reduce reflux flow rate, and use heat of enthalpy produces at one point as a source of energy used at another point, decreasing energy consumption while significantly increasing purity and amount of product obtained.
Abstract: The system for adjustably mounting an item to a vertical surface comprises a track and cooperating head of an attachment member slidably engaged to one another. One of the system structures engages an item to be mounted and the other of the system structures engages the vertical surface. Relative position between the structures may be adjusted and maintained, with the structures being releasably locked together once engaged. Further, if desired, the system may be engaged to an alarm apparatus to alert of tampering with the system.
Abstract: The method for rejuvenating solid paraxylene adsorbent comprises the steps of varying the water injection rate above a predetermined minimum level in a non-linear fashion for a time sufficient to produce rejuvenation of the adsorbent and if desired, adding at least one polar organic compound to the water being injected.
Abstract: The lamp includes a cap engaged to a bulb composed of a glass lens and a glass reflector, the lens and reflector each having an inner surface which is parabolically shaped and coated with an IR reflective material layer. The interior configuration of elements of the lamp is mathematically molded to cause infrared rays emitted by the filament to evenly reflect back to the filament heating same and thereby increasing lighting efficiency up to 50%, with the lamp emitting cool light and without compromising longevity of the lamp. The lamp may be any of a plurality of diversified types, such as high pressure sodium, metal halide, incandescent, halogen, etc.
Abstract: The pet entertainment apparatus comprises an open three dimensional framework which is covered with releasably secured material configured to provide a hammock within a top of the apparatus and an interior compartment covered by swingable flaps which depend from the top in areas between rope covered upstanding legs which elevate the top above a base of the apparatus.
Abstract: The washcloth includes a pocket which is positioned on one surface of the washcloth and includes a neck through which a bar of soap can pass only in a lengthwise direction.
