    Abstract: A cord release buckle includes a cylindrical female member with a central bore and diametrically opposed openings and a cylindrical male member having a pair of spring arms having a hooked head at their free ends. The male member is adapted to be inserted into the female member until the heads of the spring arms snap into the opposed openings to releasably latch the male member to the female member. Several different termination arrangements serve to receive and anchor the ends of cord.
