Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing hot-seal packs, in particular for transdermal therapeutic systems, by welding to one another, at predetermined linear regions and at polymer layers facing towards one another, two laps of continuous pack material composed of two or more layers. To this end, one (or two) sealing tool(s) are used to bring the pack material into contact with pressure and heat. To improve the quality of the welded seams without altering the cycle rate, according to the invention the sealing time is doubled and the temperature of the sealing tool(s) (1, 2) is reduced so that there is a considerable reduction in the temperature reached within the pack material (3, 4), this temperature then being only slightly above the melting point of the polymer used. An example of a sealing tool (1, 2) is given (FIG. 1).

Abstract: According to a mixed reality realizing system of the present invention, when a viewer wears a head mount display (HMD) including a video display and a CCD camera, and views an exhibit using an optical see-through type system, identification signals and position signals transmitted from infrared LEDs located around the exhibit are received to determine a position of the exhibit, and to superimpose contents such as explanations of the exhibit, which have been stored in advance in a portable computer, on a predetermined position on the video display where the exhibit is displayed.
Abstract: A ski binding or a snowboard binding having boot holder components on the front end or the toe end and on the rear end or the heel end. The invention includes a holding device which is arranged between the boot holder components and this holding device connects said boot holder components by means of connection elements. These connection elements have an adjusting device having an adjusting input which can be operated by a motor-driven tool, and the connection elements are adjustable against a self-locking effect, that is, adjustable to provide some resistance to further toe-to-heel movement of the connection elements once adjusted. The connection elements can be part of a threaded spindle. The boot holder components and holding device are secured displaceably on the ski or the snowboard in a fixed manner in the vertical direction with a form-fitting connection on a guide rail extending in the longitudinal direction of the ski or snowboard.
Abstract: The invention relates to affixing adapter plates to the back of commercially available forklift implements to enable the rapid connection of a forklift to the end of the hydraulic booms of backhoes. The attachment is accomplished either by substituting the bucket of the backhoe with the modified forklift or by engaging the modified forklift with a modified bucket connector which allows the forklift implement to be connected without removing the bucket.
Abstract: A movable body movable on a given path is provided with a support section for an object to be carried. Supports for supporting an object to be carried are disposed in the lower portion of the support section on the right and left sides thereof such that a support position can be changed. The given path is provided with a changer positioned between the right and left supports for changing the support position provided by the supports. The movable body is moved until it is stopped with the now-empty support section opposite the changer. The changer is then actuated, thereby changing the support position provided by the supports. Thus, different kinds of objects to be carried can each be stably supported. The common changer simplifies the configuration and operation and enables the support position provided by the right and left supports to be changed quickly and reliably.
Abstract: A transition support for flooring material extending between a floor area of a high height and a floor area of a low height, said support being in the shape of a wedge with an attached flat section in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, the wedge having a thick end whose thickness is the same as that of the flat section. The transition support is generally unnoticeable by persons walking across it and does not jostle wheeled vehicles crossing the support.
Abstract: A plastic corner device for installing drywall to form an inside corner. The corner device has a large corner with a smaller corner facing it to form a right parallelepiped, whose sides equal in length the thickness of the drywall panels. The corner device and/or the panels have adhesive applied to them, and the edges of the panels abut the smaller corner to form the inside corner. Adhesive is then applied to the rearward surfaces, and the assembly of the corner device and the panels is adhered to a building structure.
Abstract: A plurality of wind turbine blades (3) are distributed equiangularly within a plane perpendicular to a horizontal rotating shaft (2) and around a hub (1) provided on the horizontal rotating shaft (2); the blade body of each turbine blade includes therewithin a tip auxiliary blade (6) housed to be capable of extending toward and retracting away from a tip of the blade, and an auxiliary blade extension-and-retraction unit (8) for protruding the tip auxiliary blade (6) to increase the overall length of the blade; and when an airflow comes in at a low speed, the tip auxiliary blades (6) are protruded toward the tips to generate even greater rotating torque, thereby increasing a power generation output by the wind turbine.
