  • Patent number: 7635195
Abstract: A headlamp (20) that is convertible to a lantern. In an embodiment, the headlamp (20) includes an extension housing (24) and a main housing (22). The extension housing (24) is translatable relative to the main housing (22). In a first position, when the extension housing (24) is fully pressed into the main housing (22), a primary light (44) for the headlamp (20) is illuminated, providing a headlight function. The opposite end of the main housing (22) may include, for example, a clip, clasp, or other suitable structure (34) for attaching the headlamp to a headband.

  • Patent number: 7631376
Abstract: A tightly rolled sleeping bag. The tightly rolled sleeping bag is rolled using conventional equipment, but pressure is applied to an end of the sleeping bag so as to cause the sleeping bag to be more tightly rolled than previous sleeping bags. Rolling tines for a rolling machine for rolling the sleeping bag are tapered so as to aid in removal of the tightly rolled sleeping bag. A storage sack is provided for holding the sleeping bag. The storage sack is configurable between a first arrangement where the storage sack holds the sleeping bag in the tight configuration, and a second arrangement where the storage sack may be released and expands to hold the sleeping bag in a less tightly rolled configuration. To provide such a function, an expansion section is provided on the storage sack. A closure is provided on the expansion section.

  • Patent number: 7540259
Abstract: A pet bed (10) that is foldable to a compact configuration when not in use. When it is desired to use the pet bed (10), the pet bed is folded to an extended configuration in which a sleeping surface (14) is extended horizontally and a frame (12) spaces the sleeping surface from the floor. The frame (12) for the pet bed (10) includes one or more stops (40) to prevent collapsing of the frame when the pet bed is in the extended configuration. The stops (40) release as the pet bed is folded back into the storage configuration.
