  • Patent number: 8047929
Abstract: A golf club having a bent hosel. The hosel is approximately five inches long and the bend is approximately centered on the hosel. The hosel is connected to the golf club base to angle toward the golfer. At its middle, or approximately two and one half inches above the golf club base, the hosel is bent away from the golfer to a nearly vertical angle. The shaft of the golf club is connected to the upper portion of the bent hosel causing the shaft to continue at the nearly vertical angle. The novel angling of the hosel and shaft allow an average golfer to consistently hit straighter shots beginning with a putter, but including golf irons and golf woods.

  • Patent number: 8019088
Abstract: Low-frequency bandwidth extension in the form of dynamic electrical equalization may be applied to loudspeakers so long as the excursion capability of their drive units as well as velocity limits of any port(s) or excursion limits of any associated passive radiator(s), and the power limits of the drive units are not exceeded. The bandwidth extension maximizes low-frequency bandwidth dynamically such that excursion is fully utilized over a range of drive levels, without exceeding the excursion limit. Additional limiting control is available for port air velocity or passive radiator excursion, and loudspeaker drive unit electrical power. The system applies to open back, closed box, vented box, and more complex box constructions consisting of combinations of these elements for loudspeaker designs using design parameters appropriate to each system.

  • Patent number: 8014653
Abstract: A spa heater includes a heater element having a single outer wall with indentations near each end for receiving clips for positioning the heater element. The indentations are preferably stamped or formed by some other method which does not weaken the outer wall and the heater element is retained by use of the clips in the indentations. Incorporation of the indentations and the clips allows use of a single thin outer wall thereby reducing cost. The heater element is held and sealed by a combination of O-rings, stepped washers, snap rings clips, and caps. An electrical connection may be made using ring type wire ends residing under the caps or by connecting to posts extending from the ends of the heater element. The heater element is preferably a spiral heater element and a titanium outer wall may be used to resist corrosion and increases heater element life.

  • Patent number: 7934333
Abstract: A pistol is concealed and stabilized by filling in an area below the barrel and in front of the grip with a spacer. The result is a rectangular shape similar to a wallet, which shape conceals the presence of the pistol when carried in a pocket (i.e., de-prints the pistol shape), and stabilizes the pistol in the pocket. The spacer may be attached to a trigger guard, to a portion of the pistol frame beneath the forward end of the barrel, or be integrated with the pistol grips, creating the rectangular shape. The spacer may further include a laser aiming device. In one embodiment, the spacer securely grasps a curved portion of the trigger guard and includes a contoured rear surface which is urged against a lower leading edge of the grip, thus firmly establishing a position for the device relative to the pistol.
