  • Patent number: 6555971
Abstract: The present invention is a high frequency, high efficiency start and quick restart system for lighting various types of lamps. It includes electronic circuitry and components mounted on a housing unit. These include hook ups for connecting and applying a power input to the circuitry; a switch for switching a lamp on and off, which switch means is connected to control power; auto-ranging voltage control circuitry; and a three stage power factor correction microchip controller. The microchip controller is a Bi-CMOS microchip and includes a feedback current sensor; a power factor correction regulator; bulb status feedback-means; a bulb voltage controller; a conditioning filter; a half-bridge; a DC output inverter; and, output and connection for a lamp.

  • Patent number: 6352299
Abstract: The present invention is a temporary plastic replacement window with extension, for vehicles, which includes two sheets of a flexible transparent film, attaching means for attaching the two sheets, wherein together the two sheets form an envelope when attached, and an extension to the envelope being connectable to one of the two sheets through connecting means. The two sheets are pre-cut to a pattern that is shaped to snugly fit over a broken vehicle window frame. The envelope is sized and shaped to fit snugly over a frame of a vehicle door having the broken window. The extension is made of sheet material impenetrable by shards of glass and being a polymeric or natural material. When the extension is placed across a vehicle seat next to the broken window and connected to the envelope, penetration of shards of glass into one's clothing and person, is prevented.

  • Patent number: 5674283
Abstract: An implantable ophthalmic lens manufactured at least partly out of soft, elastic and pliable material substantially in the shape of a saucer is described. It includes an outer optical face forming one side of the lens, and an inner optical face forming the other side of the lens. A center portion of the inner optical face of the lens as well as the lens rim each have the shape of meniscus derived from the corresponding meniscus of a liquid precursor prior to solidification, the center portion meniscus and the rim meniscus being connected by an annular ring, all surfaces of the lens except the center portion of the inner optical face and the lens rim being replicas of a solid mold from which it is formed. The inner optical face center portion and the lens rim have the shape of a liquid precursor solidified in contact with an inert fluid.

  • Patent number: 5622287
Abstract: The present invention is a continuous action liquid dispenser which includes a main housing with a housing outlet and a housing inlet which is adapted to receive a pumping rod. It also includes a pumping rod which is at least partially located within said main housing so as to be vertically reciprocally movable therein. The rod has a predetermined shape, volume and displacement with a first, upward position and a second, downward position and includes a valve seat and one-way valve which permits liquid material to pass therethrough in a relative direction toward the outlet, but not toward the inlet. There is also an inlet valve seat and valve connected to the inlet of the main housing and arranged so as to permit flow of fluid material into, but not out of, the main housing inlet. There is a top housing connected to the upper end of the main housing adapted for reciprocal movement with an activator.

  • Patent number: 5601285
Abstract: The present invention involves a baseball catching training device. It includes a first yoke for removable attachment to a first wrist of a user and a second yoke for removable attachment to a second wrist of the user. The first yoke and the second yoke are made of flexible material, are elongated and have a middle portion and each have two opposing ends, the opposing ends having complementary attachment mechanisms for removably attaching one opposing end to an opposite opposing end. It also includes a connecting strap having a first and a second end, the first end being connected to the middle portion of the first yoke and the second end being connected to the middle portion of the second yoke. The connecting strap is flexible, stretchable and elongated and has a length no greater than 18 inches. In other preferred embodiments, the attachment mechanisms are filamentary loop and hook mechanisms.
