Abstract: Disclosed is a latch mechanism for a tilt-cab truck including a latch pin and a latch locking assembly adapted to engage the latch pin. The latch locking assembly includes a housing, a sliding latch assembly disposed in the housing for sliding movement in a direction generally perpendicular to the motion of the latch pin, a spring which biases the sliding latch assembly into engagement with the latch pin, a hydraulically actuated piston which forces the sliding latch assembly out of engagement with the latch pin, and a latch locking member which releasably holds the sliding latch assembly out of engagement with the latch pin.
Abstract: Disclosed is a tilt cab truck having a shock absorber assembly in which a path of fluid communication between the fluid reservoir and the interior of the shock absorber assembly is automatically blocked both when the brake is applied and when a roll-angle sensing device senses a roll angle greater than a predetermined value, thereby strengthening the shock absorbing function. Two embodiments of the invention are disclosed.
Abstract: The invention describes a process wherein high-purity hydrogen and oxygen gases can be economically produced via a water electrolysis method, utilizing cheap energy recovered from an incineration process of industrial, municipal, agricultural and other waste materials in a fluidized-bed incinerator. In the said process combustible solid and/or liquid wastes with high energy content are exploited to supply the energy required to incinerate and decompose other solid or liquid wastes with lower or no energy content. Also the process provides a method wherein any solid, liquid or gaseous emissions or effluents from the process are effectively trapped, controlled and converted to environmentally acceptable, inert and harmless products. Also the process includes an energy recovery system such that the thermal energy from the incineration is used to produce steam and generate electricity required for all operations in the process including the production of oxygen.

Abstract: Disclosed is a tilt cab suspension system comprising integral shock absorber and air spring assemblies located between the truck frame and the cab. The shock absorber assembly comprises a hydraulic circuit which provides for circulation of hydraulic fluid during an upstroke and/or downstroke of a piston within a cylinder. A selectively adjustable control valve is located in the hydraulic circuit and may be regulated by the vehicle operator to control the stiffness of the shock absorber sub-assembly and, consequently, the hardness of the ride.
Abstract: A shuttle wheel toy comprising a rotary wheel having a magnetized rotation shaft extending through a central portion of the wheel to have ends protruded beyond side walls of the wheel and mounted across a pair of substantially parallel arranged rails secured at one end respectively thereof in a grip, which may be gripped by a hand to axially sway the rails to thereby let the rotary wheel rotate and run on the rails which provide for a path of reciprocation to the wheel. Through a battery housed in the grip and the rails functioning as a positive and a negative electrodes, an illumination element housed in the rotary wheel can be energized to light.
Abstract: Disclosed are an engine system suitable for use with methyl alcohol and hydrogen and a rotary engine particularly suited for use in the engine system. The rotary engine comprises a stator housing having a plurality of radially directed chamber dividers, a principal rotor, a plurality of subordinate rotors each having an involute gear in its periphery mounted on the principal rotor, and means for rotating the subordinate rotors so that their involute gears accept the radially directed dividers as the subordinate rotors move past them.
Abstract: An insulated drill collar gap sub assembly for a toroidal coupled telemetry system including a first annular sub member (150) operable to be connected at one end to a drill collar and a second annular sub member (156) operable to form a part of a drill collar sub. The first and second annular sub members have interconnecting structural members (54, 58) operable to structurally interfere. The interconnecting structural members are dimensioned to form a continuous gap (160) between mutually opposing surfaces and a dielectric material (162) fills the gap to electrically isolate the first annular sub member with respect to the second annular sub member. A bearing member (164) is positioned between the first annular member and the second annular member and is coated with a dielectric insulation (166) to facilitate the formation of a drill collar gap sub assembly of structural and electrical integrity.

Abstract: Disclosed is an episiotomy trauma repair teaching aid having a plurality of modules each of which incorporates one or more three-dimensional simulated perinea into which various types of surgical incisions used in obstetrics for delivery of babies have been formed. Each module has a layer of resilient molded material to simulate flesh and a colored layer of reinforced, self-sealing membrane to simulate sub-cutaneous tissue.
Abstract: A single cylinder, tilt-cab tractor including a chassis, a cab pivotably mounted about an axis near the front of the chassis, a suspension assembly mounted at each of the forward corners of the cab and a single hydraulic cab tilting cylinder wherein the improvement comprises an auxiliary cylinder mounted between the cab and chassis opposite to the single cab tilting cylinder and hydraulic means to extend the auxiliary cylinder upon pressurization of the cab tilting cylinder to extend the suspension assembly opposite to the single hydraulic cab tilting cylinder prior to tilting of the cab.
Abstract: A tangle free animal stake wherein means are provided to secure a plate to the earth's surface. A rotating member is provided of said plate to which a chain is attached having a plurality of universal swivels disposed intermediate the length of the chain.
Abstract: A device for removing irregularities in or enlarging a buried duct comprises a cylindrical housing (10) corresponding approximately in diameter to the required diameter of the duct, a plurality of tapered leaf members (14) pivotally attached at their rear ends to the front of the housing, and a conical wedge (18) driven by an axial hydraulic ram (12) mounted inside the housing (10). In operation, the apparatus is drawn through the duct with the leaf members (14) in a retracted position in which they form a tapered nose portion, until an irregularity in the duct causes resistance to forward movement. The ram (12) is operated to force the leaf members outwardly against the wall of the duct to remove the irregularity. The leaf members (14) are then retracted as the apparatus is drawn forward to the next obstruction. The apparatus is particularly intended for preparing damaged sewers prior to fitting an inner, lining pipe.
Abstract: Disclosed is a convex lap comprising a plurality of polishing elements which are radially adjustable to ensure that the effective radius of the polishing surface remains constant as the polishing elements are worn down. A means is provided to radially set individual and independent clusters to enhance polishing of certain compound curves.
Abstract: Disclosed is a portable reading desk formed from a single piece of thin, flat, generally rectangular stock. The stock is cut and creased into three portions which can be folded either flat for travel or into a three dimensional configuration in which the desk will support a book or the like in position to be read.
Abstract: Disclosed is a fishing lure designed so that the fishing line passes through an aperture in a spinner support wire which connects the body to the spinner before passing through or being attached to the body. The aperture acts as a pivot point, and variations in tension in the fishing line cause the body and the spinner to pivot about the aperture.
Abstract: Disclosed is a cabtilt system comprising conventional hydraulic tilting cylinders, a cock sensing member, and a synchronizing valve which causes one of the hydraulic tilting cylinders to slow or stop its motion until the other cylinder catches up with it if the cock sensing member senses that the cab is cocking as it tilts.
Abstract: Disclosed is apparatus for permitting hydraulic lost motion between the push chamber and the pull chamber of the tilt cylinder(s) for a tiltcab truck. The apparatus comprises a pilot-operated check valve having a through passage (a) which is part of a hydraulic connection between the push chamber and the pull chamber and (b) which is only shut off when hydraulic pressure is applied to the push chamber(s) of the tilt cylinder(s).
