  • Patent number: 7876319
Abstract: A vector field, including its local three-dimensional attribute, is substantially visualized on a two-dimensional field of view in an intuitionally visible way. The vector field is mapped onto a three-dimensional coordinate space to produce corresponding coordinate point sequences, the degree of elevation in a local area of a plane in which the coordinate point sequences are connected is determined, the degree of depression in the local area is determined, the degree of elevation/depression in the local area is determined by weight-combining the degree of elevation and the degree of depression, the coordinate space is mapped onto a two-dimensional plane and gray-scale display corresponding to the degree of elevation/depression is conducted on the area of the two-dimensional plane corresponding to the local area.

  • Patent number: 7874977
Abstract: A device for treating and reducing stuttering by utilizing auditory feedback. A bone conducting hearing aid apparatus is arranged to be attached to the skull bone of a user with a stuttering problem so that his ear canal is left free. A tactile component in the form of a vibrator mechanically transmits sound information to the inner ears of the user via the skull bone so that both cochleas are stimulated. The cochlea on the opposite side of the skull receives a signal that is further delayed and also has another frequency characteristics compared to the digital received by the nearest cochlea.

  • Patent number: 7876335
Abstract: A system redacts content in a multi-layered document by executing a content modifier process that redacts a first portion of content in a source layer and then automatically redacts related content in at least one target layer. The content modifier process overlays the source redaction region on corresponding areas of other layers in the document to identify target redaction regions in those other layers that contain target content. In turn, the content modifier process automatically identifies and redacts the target content within target redaction regions.

  • Patent number: 7873643
Abstract: The present invention provides mathematical model-based incremental clustering methods for classifying sets of data and predicting new data values, based upon the concepts of similarity and cohesion. In order to increase processing efficiency, these methods employ weighted attribute relevance in building unbiased classification trees and sum pairing to reduce the number of nodes visited when performing classification or prediction operations. In order to increase prediction accuracy, these methods employ weighted voting over each value of target attributes to calculate a prediction profile. The present invention allows an operator to determine the importance of attributes and reconstitute classification trees without those attributes deemed unimportant to further increase classification structure node processing efficiency.
