  • Patent number: 8295295
Abstract: A system and a method for automatically segmenting and merging routing domains within a network. The system includes one or more gateway devices and a plurality of nodes segmented into one or more routing domains. Each of said plurality of nodes maintains a single gateway device from among said plurality of gateway devices as the node's primary gateway at any time. Each of said gateway devices possesses a gateway color attribute. Each of said plurality of nodes maintains a node color attribute value whose value is derived from the value of said gateway color attribute of then node's primary gateway. • Patent number: 8296180
Abstract: A system for improving shape-based targeting by using interest level data is disclosed. According to one embodiment, a computer-implemented method comprises creating one or more trade zones, wherein creating a trade zone comprises grouping a set of parameters to deliver custom shapes, clustering the custom shapes according to offline data and geographic distribution of IP addresses, and mapping clusters of the custom shapes to IP addresses. Data indicating consumption of a content source is received, the content source having a plurality of tokens. The plurality of tokens is organized according to the one or more trade zones, wherein the one or more trade zones consume the tokens at a calculated rate and the calculated rate is analyzed to determine an interest associated with each trade zone. Targeting is based on a selected trade zone, wherein the selected trade zone is selected based upon a desired interest representative of a desired audience.

  • Patent number: 8296223
Abstract: Processing duplicate items in image cash letter (“ICL”) reversal files for efficient handling. A duplicate item processing module can receive ICL reversal files comprising items representing duplicate electronic checks. The duplicate item processing module can determine whether the processing entity erroneously presented the item more than once. The duplicate item processing module can also determine whether the depositing institution erroneously deposited the item more than once for processing. Based on the determination of the source of the error, the duplicate item processing module can make a correction in its own records and/or forward the ICL reversal file with the duplicate item to the receiving institution.

  • Patent number: 8286612
Abstract: Coupling device for hydraulically and mechanically coupling a fuel injector to a combustion engine fuel rail, having a fuel injector cup with a central longitudinal axis hydraulically coupled to the rail and engaging a fuel inlet portion of the injector, a first ring element fixedly coupled to the cup, and a second ring element fixedly coupled to the injector. One of the ring elements has a collar arranged radially outside the other elements and extending from the one element in direction of the longitudinal axis. The collar has a recess facing the central longitudinal axis. A circlip is arranged in the recess and arranged and designed to form a positive fitting coupling between the first and second ring elements. The circlip prevents a movement of the first ring element relative to the second element retaining the fuel injector in the fuel injector cup in direction of the central longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 8291049
Abstract: Buffering data associated with a spatial publishing object data store at a buffer distance proximate a user presence in a spatial publishing object space. The buffer distance comprises a measure based at least in part on: capacity of a communications path between the data store and the user platform; availability of memory at the user platform; movement of a user presence through the space; traffic in the communications path; processing resources available; amount of objects within a distance of the user presence; amount of objects in the space; type of objects; proximity of objects to the user presence; and rate of the user presence movement in the space. Movement of the user presence in the space buffers data such that data for a proximate object is available in the buffer for presenting to the user when the user's presence is a predetermined distance from the proximate object.
