Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for deterministic registration for communication networks comprises transmitting a node register command over a network, the node register command comprising a first plurality of bits and a second plurality of bits, the first and second plurality of bits addressing a range of nodes that should respond to the node register command, and a plurality of time slot delays, during each of the plurality of time slot delays, listening to the network for a response from a node in the range of nodes, the node determined by each of the plurality of time slot delays, and responsive to detecting a response, determining a responding node corresponding to the response and designating the responding node as registered.
Abstract: A process for preparing an extrudable product suitable for forming into a chewable pet food and comprising between about 56% to about 80% dry wheat gluten mix, between about 9% to about 28% liquid plasticizer mix and between about 8% to about 18% moisture by weight of the product is disclosed. The process comprises mixing the dry wheat gluten mix with water in an extruder, to form a moist wheat gluten mix, and mixing the moist wheat gluten mix with a liquid plasticizer mix and extruding at a temperature of less than 70° C. to form the extrudable product. The invention also relates to the extrudable product and to the chewable pet food formed therefrom by means of either further extrusion or injection moulding.
Abstract: A system has a boat trailer and a mechanical arm coupled to the boat trailer. The system further has logic that actuates the mechanical arm based upon a user input, such that the mechanical arm applies a pressure to the boat when the boat is positioned for loading onto the trailer.
Abstract: A protective guard assembly for the protection of vehicles from parking lot damage is provided. The protective apparatus may comprise a pair of extendable rotator arms with a tensioned cable extended therebetween. In its non-deployed position, the present invention may be mounted underneath the vehicle to maintain the outer appearance of the vehicle. In its deployed position, the present invention may provide a pair of fore and aft canted arms with the tensioned cable therebetween, such arms having extended from underneath said vehicle and rotated upward to extend said cable at approximately the height of the outermost portion of the generally curved vehicle body. Alternatively, the present invention may comprise a pair of shorter extendable arms rotated in an upward manner and extended from each of the front and rear bumpers, or extended from and retracted into the front and rear bumpers, along the side of the vehicle.
Abstract: A bearing has an inner race that has separable inner sections. The inner race has an inner male protrusion and an inner female receptacle, and each inner male protrusion is mated with one of the inner female receptacles to form a unitary inner race. The bearing further has an outer race that has separable outer sections. The outer race has an outer male protrusion and an outer female receptacle, and each outer male protrusion is mated with one of the outer female receptacles to form a unitary outer race. Further, the bearing has a plurality of rollers situated within a channel formed by engaging the inner race and the outer race.
Abstract: A system has a containment blanket. The system further has a launcher configured to launch the containment blanket and logic configured to deploy the containment blanket. The containment blanket is configured to encompass an incoming projectile.
Abstract: A multipurpose support pillow is provided. The pillow is generally apostrophe-shaped and can be placed and adjusted along any part of the body to provide the desired comfort and support useful for countless applications.
Abstract: A housing structure for improving air flow to the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine is claimed. The present invention is a replacement part for a factory-installed mass air flow sensor housing and is designed to allow for larger air flow through the housing through the use of a bypass air passage or calibration tube that reduces air flow as experienced by the mass air flow sensor. The calibration tube reduces air flow across the sensor with a larger bore on its inlet and a restriction in its outlet. The calibration tube is angled to reduce back flow from the engine.
Abstract: A stop block for preventing over travel of an adjustable fifth wheel hitch assemblies comprising a generally rectangular solid member having a double curve disposed in said member such that a long portion of said member is higher in elevation than a short portion of said member.

Abstract: A system for managing collection of data and remote operation of fielded remote units is disclosed. The remote units may be incorporated in automatic meter reading systems, capacitor bank switching systems, power line fault detection units, power recloser units, surveillance systems, railroad switch heaters, or any of a multitude of systems wherein widely scattered devices require monitoring and/or operational commands. Each remote unit is provided with a CELLEMETRY™ transceiver, allowing the unit to receive commands from and pass data to a data center via the cellular control channel network and the Internet. The data center is organized to provide data related to a particular service to an associated customer user via the Internet, the customer users being utility companies, railroad companies, surveillance companies, and the like.
Abstract: A tool for inspecting a trailer kingpin and adjusting a fifth wheel hitch includes a plate having at least two mutually substantially perpendicular sides, one side having upper and lower generally rectangular tabs extending therefrom and separated by a space therebetween, the space being dimensioned to snugly receive a kingpin lower flange, the upper tab being dimensioned to be snugly received along a kingpin shank. Opposing this tabbed side is a side having at least one shaped recess for receiving a means for adjusting play in a fifth wheel hitch and transferring the application of torque thereto. The plate also includes a shaped aperture for receiving a kingpin, the shaped aperture having a substantially rectangular wide portion and a substantially rectangular narrow portion.

Abstract: An improved system and method for providing emergency lighting and directional exit indication in the event of power outage and/or smoke/fire events. The system provides a lighted pathway consisting of discrete points of light, some of which strobe or trace toward the exits and others of which burn steadily for general area emergency lighting. The method consists of detecting the emergency condition and illuminating the appropriate emergency lighting.
Abstract: An apparatus for the display of seasonal ornaments, figurines and decorative items on both generally flat horizontal surfaces and highly irregular generally horizontal projections is provided. An ornament, figurine, or decorative item may be attached to an upper surface of a platform of the present invention. The platform is provided with at least one attachment device for attaching said platform to an irregular generally horizontal surface for the display of the item affixed to its upper surface. Such item may be similarly displayed on a generally flat horizontal surface without the removal of such item from such platform by the use of a base member of the present invention's assembly. Such base member may include a corresponding receptor hole for the attachment device in the upper surface of such base member. The base member may be generally about the same size as the platform to which the item is mounted.
Abstract: An antimicrobial solution is provided for use in the cleaning of dentures and toothbrushes, as well as, for use as an oral mouthwash and/or a general disinfectant. The primary active ingredients of the present invention include an approximately 4.5% solution of hydrogen peroxide as an antibacterial agent and sodium lauryl sulfate as a cleansing agent. The present invention is mixed and maintained in liquid form. Additional ingredients are included to ensure the activation of the various antibacterial or cleansing agents. The present invention overcomes the problems with presently available denture cleansers because it does not require the use of hot, warm, or even cold water to activate the cleansing agent.
