A grip holder is provided for fixing the grip of the torque wrench. A deflecting mechanism is adapted for the generation of a torque on the head portion of the torque wrench to be tested.
Abstract: An exercise device includes a housing having at least a wall portion, at least two apertures extending through the wall portion and spaced from each other, and at least one elongate rod having a center section located between opposite ends. The center section is adapted for slidable movement through the apertures. The friction generating arrangement provides frictional engagement of the elongate rod with the apertures, so as to resist sliding movement of the rod through the apertures.
Abstract: A beater for a rotary shredder comprises an oblong base body with a pivot bearing adapted for pivotal connection of the beater to a rotor. A cutting head is formed with protruding cutting edges on opposite ends supported by the base body via the support surface. Complementary interlocking structures are provided by the support surface on the support surface and the cutting head. A releasable connection passes through the complementary structures connecting the base body with the cutting head. The complementary structures are provided by a recess formed in the support surface of the base body and a thereto complementary projection of the cutting head.

The cushioning part is formed of a flexible material exhibiting elasticity. The mounting part is formed of a rigid material exhibiting a predetermined rigidity. Abstract: A laser perforator for perforating skin of a patient and obtaining of blood samples consists of laser light source for producing an output laser beam, a focusing arrangement for focusing the output laser beam at a skin area selected for perforation, a guiding arrangement, a power supply unit and a retaining arrangement for retaining the skin area. The retaining arrangement is formed to intensify blood circulation in the skin area selected for perforation.
Abstract: Portable power driven rope climbing apparatus having a motor driving a gear reduction mechanism which drives a pulley wheel securing a rope extending thereabouts. A rope output guide member is provided for maintaining the rope in engagement with the pulley wheel an attachment mechanism for attaching an external load. The attachment mechanism comprises a rope entry guide member for supporting a rope as it enters the apparatus, so as to provide a fulcrum point about which the mass of the apparatus exerts a first moment. The attachment mechanism further comprises a seat member for supporting the load. The seat member is held remote from the main body such that the load, when mounted thereon exerts a second, opposed moment about the fulcrum.
Abstract: A device for grinding welding electrodes comprises a driving motor, a shaft driven by said driving motor and a grinding wheel driven by said driving motor through said shaft, said grinding wheel having a first and a second grinding surface. A first guiding block is provided having at least one first opening, said first opening defining a position relative to said first grinding surface and said opening being adapted to guide a welding electrode for grinding into said defined position relative to said first grinding surface, and a second guiding block having at least one second opening, said second opening defining a position relative to said second grinding surface and said second opening being adapted to guide a welding electrode for grinding into said defined position relative to said second grinding surface.
Abstract: A flexible connection joint for inflatable structures such as life rafts, evacuation slides, and the like, includes a flexible connection member to join walls of the inflatable structure together. The flexible connection member includes first and second strip portions that are bonded together at one end to from three legs that can be joined to two or three walls of the structure or to other connecting elements or strips. In this manner, a tensile force acting on at least one of the walls of the structure causes generation of shear forces between the flexible legs and walls to thereby resist their separation.

Abstract: An amount of photosynthetic biomass such as wood is converted into coal such as charcoal and a substantial amount thereof is permanently stored until the atmospheric CO2 level is reduced to an extent which is unable to cause a greenhouse effect. While a main portion of the charcoal remains in permanent storage, a fraction thereof may be retained prior to or retrieved during or after achievement of the reduction in the atmospheric CO2 level. Such fraction is converted into energy or an energy source, for example hydrogen, in a manner such that thereby the atmospheric CO2 is maintained at a level which does not cause an undesired greenhouse effect.

Abstract: A device for producing a solidified block of carbon dioxide includes first and second housing portions removably connectable together. The first and second housing portions form an interior molding chamber that is adapted to receive liquid carbon dioxide at a pressure where expansion of the liquid carbon dioxide occurs, resulting in a mixture of solidified and gaseous carbon dioxide. A pressure relief device includes a biasing member for biasing the first and second housing portions together. The biasing member permits relative movement between the first and second housing portions when internal pressure from the gaseous carbon dioxide exceeds a predetermined amount. With this arrangement, relative movement between first and second housing portions causes gaseous carbon dioxide to be released from the interior molding chamber to thereby reduce the internal pressure.

Abstract: A method of controlling an aluminum reduction cell including the following steps: maintaining alumina concentration within preset limits by alternating base, underfeed and overfeed modes; measuring cell voltage and potline amperage; calculating current normalized voltage value and a rate of changing thereof in time; comparing the calculated values of the normalized voltage with preset values thereof and correcting anode-cathode distance when passing from the base mode to the overfeed or underfeed modes; and measuring a number of alumina feed doses in the underfeed mode and overfeed mode over a time period sufficient for the alumina to dissolve.
