Abstract: Various medical conditions, some previously treated by injection or surgery, are effectively treated by a topical application of a composition of urea and a chemotherapeutic agent. Such agents include sclerosing agents, vasodilators, botulinum toxin and minoxidil. Conditions as diverse as spider veins, erectile dysfunction, facial wrinkles, hair loss and baldness can be effectively treated with the compositions.

Abstract: A handle assembly is provided for the base of an electric cooking appliance. The handle assembly includes a thermoplastic handle including an integral base portion, a bracket having substantial rigidity positioned between the base portion of the handle and the exterior surface of the base, a first fastener connecting the handle to the outer wall of the base, a second fastener connecting the bracket to the outer wall of the base independently of the handle, and a connecting member connecting the bracket to the handle. The connecting member and first fastener may be the same element. An electric cooking appliance including such a handle assembly is further provided.

Abstract: A low cost specimen holder for accurately positioning an animal or other specimen in an imaging machine is constructed from two thin sheets of formed plastic. Each sheet can be formed with a half cavity corresponding to the size and shape of a rodent or other laboratory animal or specimen. To minimize diffraction of imaging beams, one of the sheets can be formed to accommodate the entire specimen, and the other sheet can be substantially planar. The two sheets may be snap-fit or press-fit together to closely hold or encapsulate a specimen with the resulting cavity.

Abstract: A portable, roll-able or fold-able mat for supporting one or more individuals includes a non-inflatable, buoyant core. The core includes buoyancy sufficient to support the one or more individuals on a surface of the mat. The core includes at least one layer of foam and a non-foam layer connected with at least one surface of the layer of foam.

Abstract: A folding tool onto which one places a fortune cookie crepe and a fortune ticket, while the crepe is still soft and pliable, which one then bends at hinges of the tool in a specific sequence, to cause the folding of the crepe around the fortune ticket and into a traditional fortune cookie shape before the crepe begins to permanently harden into its thus-formed shape.
