    Abstract: The ultrasonic device which is sensitive to a selectably defined range for giving warning to a vehicle operator while backing which indicates visually an obstruction substantially out of range, close to range and within range coupled with an in range audio alarm giving an intermittent tone at a defined pulse rate which rate approaches non-pulsating as the object approaches within 25% of the selected range. A convex reflector of a defined radius in conjunction with angularly upright baffles disposed on the convexity is coupled to the transmitting/receiving transducer to generate an ultrasonic beam which encompasses objects anywhere in the range area adjacent to the vehicle's rear edge.

    Abstract: A washboard attachment for pre-laundering a garment is adapted for use with a top loading automatic laundry machine with an upwardly directed rotor and a basin. The attachment has means which fit over the rotor and a ribbed portion which spans the basin to support legs which stand on the basin's rim. The support legs are of a length so as to cause the washboard attachment to be downwardly directed toward the basin. The attachment has curved sides to contain incidental washwater and direct it to the basin.

    Abstract: An articulated liter is disclosed for assisting disabled patients in getting in and out of hydrotherapeutic pools. The litter moves progressively from a chair-like position for the patient to sit on, to a horizontal position in which the patient is supported in a supine position, to a position in which the litter is cantilevered over the pool and finally into a substantially vertical position in which the free end of the litter and the patient are submerged within the pool. The progressive movements of the litter are reversed to remove the patient from the pool.

    Abstract: A process for eliminating by destruction polychlorinated bi-phenyls from hydrocarbonaceous oil contaminated therewith is disclosed. The oil is admixed with liquid sodium in an atmosphere of argon gas and allowed by refluxing, mixing, agitation, and hydrogenation circulation to react therewith. The polychlorinated bi-phenyls are eliminated, the reaction products are filtered and the uncontaminated treated oil is rendered susceptible to re-use.
