Abstract: A carrier for handling sheet-like material in the nature of standard sized panels of wood, wall board and the like having a width of lesser dimension that its length by means of a bar-like member of telescopically arranged halves each having a lateral projection at its exposed opposite ends providing clamping jaws for engaging the side edges of sheet material to be carried thereby, the telescopically arranged halve being spring urged together for closing the clamping jaws relative to the sheet material, and handle device on the bar-like member for manually manipulating the same.

Abstract: A chlorinator for swimming pools in which a quantity of granular dry crystals of chlorine is interposed in a bypassed stream of pool water for creating a chlorine concentrate in a container related to a mixing chamber such as to introduce a measured portion of the chlorine concentrate into the bypassed water prior to its returning to the swimming pool.

Abstract: For a draw string in which the looped mid portion operatively associated with a closable member has its ends slidably passing into one closed end and out of an open end of a thimble-like slide fastener, the closed end of which is adapted to abut the closable member while the ends of the cord are pulled, and a knob on the terminal ends of the cord having a tapered end insertable into the open end of the slide fastener for securing the portions of the pull cord therein and the looped mid portion of the cord in closed condition relative to the closable member.

Abstract: A turntable pole mount for a fishing reel for converting the spool thereof from a fixed disposition on a drive shaft parallel to a fishing pole during spin type casting of a fishline into a free spool disposition on the shaft turned to a transverse disposition on the fishing pole and the spool in driving engagement with the hand crank operated gear arrangement of the reel for normal free spool retrieval of the fishline on the spool; together with a spring loaded thumb actuated lever pivotally mounted on the pole mount for normally latchingly securing the turntable in either of its two limits of movement; and for applying a braking action to the spool when it is disposed in spin casting position and the thumb actuated lever is depressed during spin casting of a fishline from the reel.

Abstract: A quick connect and release device between an electric light fixture and a light diffusing shade or globe therefor including snap-on resilient fingers on the fixture engageable in an annular groove in the globe as well as cam members on the globe registerable with the resilient fingers upon turning of the globe relative to the fixture to free the globe for removal therefrom.

Abstract: The chlorinator for a swimming pool with a recirculation system includes a container to hold a column of chlorine concentrate solution, and a pool water supply conduit with a flow regulator connected to a return conduit of the recirculation system. Some of the pool water is caused to slowly flow into the container forming a gradually increasing column of pool water above the chlorine concentrate solution inside the container. A layer of separating material, having a specific gravity between that of pool water and that of the chlorine concentrate solution, rests on the bottom of the pool water in the container and floats on top of the column of the chlorine concentrate solution, and effectively prevents mixing of these two liquids. The gradually increasing column of pool water in the container then gradually forces the chlorine concentrate solution out of the container through another supply conduit to a height between the top and bottom of the container.

Abstract: A fold up spring loaded arm pivotally mounted on a vehicle and housing a folded flag tethered to one end of a second arm pivotally mounted on the free end of the spring loaded arm so as to open up, jack-knife fashion, upon release of the spring loaded arm from latched horizontal position in the vehicle to unfurl and display the flag for full view exteriorly of the vehicles, and manually controlled means in the vehicle for releasing the spring loaded arm from latched position. The warning signal also including an electrically illuminating lamp or lamps on the free end of the second named arm for illuminating the flag and for attracting attention to the warning means by on and off blinking of such lamps when the arms are in raised vertical position.

Abstract: A removable dust cover for the stepped keyboard of an electronic organ and means for latching and locking such cover in place between the base, sidewalls and back top member of the console or cabinet confining such keyboard and the use of transparent, tinted and/or colored rigid plastic material fit snugly to the cabinet for protecting the keyboard from contaminents or destructive forces to which such keyboard is accidentally or intentionally subjected.

Abstract: A pedestal type holder for rolled paper towelling perforated for tear-off as individual sheets and transportable for support on any horizontal surface, the holder having a base with upstanding pole to receive and support the roll of towelling on a vertical axis, the base being provided with an annular rim circumscribing the lower portion of the roll of towelling and having an inner annular edge upwardly from the base engageable by a sheet of towelling extending tangentially from the roll to provide a fulcrum point on such extended sheet offset from the roll affording a starting break off of such sheet from the roll along a line of perforations therebetween and a gradual separation thereof upon downward manipulation of such extended sheet relative to the holder and roll of towelling thereon.

Abstract: A locking hardware adapted to conceal and confine the clamp screws of an outboard motor against operative removal from the transom board of a boat and the like by the provision of a back plate set against the transom board by the clamp screws and having a stud bolt parallel to the clamp screws and inboard arm of the C clamp of the motor upon which stud bolt a channel iron cover member is mounted to confine the handles of the clamp screws, the cover member having a cylindrical shell aligned with the threaded end of the stud bolt for receiving a wrench operated nut therein for securing the cover member to the bolt and lock receiving keyway in the wrench head of the nut for locking such nut within the cylindrical shell to prevent removal of the nut therefrom.

Abstract: This is a coin slot adapted to be applied to a flip-top type of can after its pull-out tab has been removed leaving a tear drop shaped opening in the top of the can. The coin slot is formed with a cap member dimensioned to cover the opening and extend diametrically across the top of the can and provided with a wedge-shaped extension partially insertable into the opening in the can top provided with a fulcrum groove engaging the can top adjacent the rim of the can such that a lever action is afforded to the cap member upon depressing the latter onto the can top while fracturing part of the can top bordering the opening therein and effecting a locking action between such fractured parts and grooved sides in the wedge-shaped extension.

Abstract: A y-shaped stand having a hook end for engaging the diagonal brace of a bicycle frame and a drive hub support adjacent the crotch of the Y with the legs of the Y diverging to provide two foot pads of a tripod, the front wheel providing the third foot thereof, and straps between each pad and the rear fork of the bicycle stabilizing the bicycle with its rear wheel free to turn for riding in a stationary position by a person on the seat of the bicycle.

Abstract: A light structure for antenna type mountable on vehicles for visibility from any direction, the light being a direct lineal extension of the antenna mast or shaft consisting of a clear plastic tube wrapped in various colored film along its length and embraced by translucent light diffusing bodies separated by opaque dividers and associated with internal lamps for illuminating each colored zone along its length powered by a suitable source of electrical energy in a switch controlled circuit.

Abstract: A process for retarding the hardening rate of the portland cement and blended hydraulic cement by grinding from about 0.5 to 5.0 weight percent of stannous sulfate based on the dry weight of cement clinker in substitution a portion of gypsum as normally used to eliminate the possibility of false set occuring in ground cement and also improve their qualities.
