  • Patent number: 5796241
Abstract: A self-excited oscillation type power supply device comprises an auxiliary transistor Q4. When the device is started, a voltage signal providing forward biasis applied to the base of the auxiliary transistor; and when the device is operated, besides the forward bias, at least one of a voltage signal derived from alternate voltage which occurs at a choke coil L1 and a voltage signal corresponding to output voltage, is applied thereto. More specifically, the voltage signal providing forward bias is provided by a resistor R9 connected between the base of the auxiliary transistor Q4 and input terminal 1; the voltage signal derived from the alternate voltage is provided by a capacitor C4 connected between the base of the auxiliary transistor Q4 and one end of a choke coil L1; and the voltage signal corresponding to output voltage is provided by a constant-voltage diode DZ2 connected between the base of the auxiliary transistor Q4 and output terminal 2.

  • Patent number: 5786136
Abstract: Described is a method and device for conserving organs, body extremities and pieces of body tissue by means of an extracorporal circulation system. Conservation is carried out at room temperature or body temperature. Long-term conservation is carried out using three discrete circulation systems, the first supplying the organs, extremities or pieces of tissue with an aqueous physiological nutrient concentrate or with blood or with a blood product. The oxygen is physically dissolved and supplied through a dialysis membrane by the second circulation system, metabolite exchange and detoxication also taking place at this membrane. The third circulation system cuts in automatically, under timer control, to flush out the tissue. During flushing, circulation system (1) and (2) are switched off in order to avoid the liquids mixing with each other. The various elements of the device are connected up by means of disposable tubing or tubing made of sterilizable material.

  • Patent number: 5779333
Abstract: A fastening arrangement for guide rails of pull-out guides for drawers within the carcase of cabinets which have a narrow opening in the front relative to the interior width between the side walls of the carcase, the guide rails having a length which is less than the depth of the carcase. An extended metal distance profile having a length greater than the distance between the end of the guide rail while in its installation position at the front end of the carcase and the rear wall of the carcase is provided at the end of the guide rail. The distance profile is brought into an overlapping position with the guide rail and bridges the distance between end of the guide rail and the rear wall. The end of the distance profile, averted from the guide rail, is installed in a metal holding fitting provided at the rear wall of the carcase. The guide rail is connected to the distance profile in the mutually overlapping region.

  • Patent number: 5770949
Abstract: A measuring device scanning from edge to edge of a continuously fed sheet includes two sensing heads spaced apart from the sheet by air cushions whose thickness is not influenced by pressure of supplied air and is subjected to an invariable approaching gravimetric force. The air cushions are preferably formed of air jets from calibrated holes at the inside of both sensing heads, each of said holes being surrounded by annular barriers with circular rims. While the approaching force applied to the upper head is given by the own weight of the latter, the corresponding opposed force on the lower head is provided by a pressure regulator of internal air at the inside of the lower sensing head.

  • Patent number: 5715042
Abstract: Method and apparatus for determining the position of a mobile vehicle with a receiver, through a triangulation based on angular data obtained by processing directive electromagnetic signals emitted by fixed rotating transmitters. The method includes: dividing the 360.degree. of the rotation into 2.sup.n angular values; generating a coding sequence of 2.sup.n binary configurations made up of 2.sup.n +(n-1) bits; generating a coding pattern wherein said angular values are coded; storing said coding pattern in the transmitters and in the receiver; starting the rotations of the two transmitters at a correlated, constant speed; transmitting the angular data corresponding to the direction of emission of the beams; demodulating the signals detected by the receiver and obtaining the coded angular values; and calculating the vehicle position by using the latest mean angular values obtained from the signals.
