    Abstract: A leak diagnosis system is provided for diagnosing a leak condition of an evaporative emission control system for an internal combustion engine. The leak diagnosis system receives a signal indicative of a pressure in the evaporative emission system and obtains a converged limit negative pressure in the evaporative emission control system when the evaporative emission control system is communicated with the operating engine. The leak diagnosis system diagnoses a leak condition by comparing the converged limit negative pressure with a leak decision value.

    Abstract: A semiconductor memory device according to the present invention comprises a memory cell having one transistor and one stacked capacitor. The stacked capacitor is stacked on the surface of a semiconductor substrate. Further, the stacked capacitor has a structure extending on a gate electrode and a word line through an insulating layer. A lower electrode layer of the capacitor had various concave/convex shapes, i.e. step portions and projecting portions formed on the surface thereof. These shapes are made by employing various etching processes. The lower electrode layer has such various concave/convex shapes formed thereon, so that a surface area and capacitance of the capacitor can be increased.

    Abstract: A rotary wavy motion type engine is disclosed, and the engine includes: a center housing 1 and side housing 2,2'. An inclined eccentric shaft 3 is rotatably secured to the disc shaped piston 4, and the other end of the shaft 3 is connected to an output shaft. The disc shaped piston 4 defines left and right chamber 5, 6, and nutation members 23,23' are attached upon and under the disc shaped piston 4 in such a manner that they should define an intaking compressing room 8 and a pressure releasing room 9. All of the above components are arranged in such a manner as to produce twisting wavy motions in the disc shaped piston.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for adding minute quantities of radioactive material to frac material, acid material, cement squeezes, or the like, being pumped underground which includes providing a filler material or carrier having a minor portion of radioactive material distributed evenly therethrough, providing a lead shielded container having a variable volume chamber for the filler having the radioactive material and progressively decreasing the chamber volume at a predetermined rate to meter outflow of the filler with radioactive material from the container and into the line carrying the material being pumped underground. The rate of metering is such as to provide the desired concentration of radioactive material relative to the flow rate of material being pumped underground. The filler with the radioactive material is preferrably a solid plug and a grinder is used to progressively grind material at a selected rate from the leading end of the plug into particles of selected size.

    Abstract: A tape amount displaying apparatus displays a used amount of a tape or a remaining amount thereof. A signal corresponding to a length (l.sub.t) of an outermost periphery of the tape wound in a reel is outputted from an outermost periphery length signal outputting circuit and then stored in a memory. Each time a one-turn detecting circuit detects one turn of the reel, the predetermined value (2.pi.d) is added to the length of the outermost periphery read out from the memory if a rotational direction detecting circuit detects that the reel rotates in a predetermined direction, or the predetermined value (2.pi.d) is subtracted from the outermost periphery length if the rotational direction detecting circuit detects that the reel rotates in the opposite direction. The result of such an addition or subtraction is again stored in the memory. The content stored in the memory is squared (l.sub.t.sup.2), and then a predetermined value (4.pi..sup.2 r.sub.h.sup.2) is subtracted from the squared value (l.sub.t.sup.
