Abstract: The present invention relates to chairs and work stations. One embodiment of the present invention is for a chair comprising a base and a seat supported by the base, wherein the seat has a seat front and a seat back. The chair includes a backrest and a backrest support for supporting the backrest in a position relative to the seat which allows the seat to be utilized in a first and a second mode of operation. The first mode of operation includes an occupant sitting on the seat facing forward, and the second mode of operation includes an occupant sitting on the seat facing rearward. A stowable table is attached to the backrest. When in an upright position the stowable table extends in a substantially rearward direction. The stowable table may be stowed when not in use. A method of setting up and utilizing a portable work station is also described. The method includes utilizing a chair-table combination wherein the table is stowable.
Abstract: A bat comprising a tubular body having a handle portion, a tapered mid-section and a barrel or impact portion. The barrel portion merges with the tapered mid-section at an annular indentation formed in the body. The bat further includes an exterior shell disposed about the barrel portion of the bat in a manner that enables unrestricted movement of the shell upon impact with a ball. The opposing ends of the shell are cooperatively tapered with opposing ends of the barrel portion. The bat further includes a knob attached at the terminus of the handle portion, and an end cap attached at a terminus of the sleeve and barrel portion.
Abstract: A process for enhancing a package for a compact disc and product produced by such a process are described. The process includes the step of inserting an object into a void space of a spine in a package for a compact disc. The object can include at least one three-dimensional object. The process can further include the steps of adding additional three-dimensional objects into the void space of the spine of the package for the compact disc. The product is an improved compact disc package which includes a compact disc package having a spine, the spine including a void space; and, an object included within the void space. The object can be three-dimensional. The package can further comprise additional three-dimensional objects included within the void space. A three-dimensional insert for a compact disc package that is dimensioned to fit within a spine of the compact disc package is also described. Matter, such as a liquid, can be included within the insert.
