  • Patent number: 6149572
Abstract: A centrifuge bowl for separating heavier particles from lighter particles and water comprises a first conical bowl wall leading to a pair of annular recesses at actually spaced positions. Each recess is generally re-shaped with an upper side wall, a lower side wall and a base. The base contains a plurality of angularly spaced discharge ducts each having a mouth projecting through the base into the interior of the bowl for collecting the heavier particles. A pinch valve is formed as an integral assembly with the mouth and duct and is mounted within a housing carried within the wall of the bowl. The housing, valve and duct can therefore be removed as a separate assembly by pulling from a chamber within the wall of the bowl. A compression fluid supply duct passes through the wall to communicate with the chamber.

  • Patent number: 6044566
Abstract: Knives molded from a plastics material for cutting lettuce and for cutting baked goods in a non-stick pan respectively are described. The blade portions of the knives include a cutting edge comprised of arcuate, convex segments. The thickness of the blade increases from the cutting edge in discrete steps, resulting in a stronger blade that remains sharp longer. Being molded from a plastics material, the knives will not promote the oxidation of cut lettuce nor scratch or damage the surface of a non-stick pan respectively.

  • Patent number: 5970695
Abstract: A header for crop harvesting machine includes a transport arrangement towing the header in a direction at right angles to its normal working direction. The transport system includes a first wheel at one end of the header which can be steered by a hitch pole connected to the first wheel. A second wheel is located symmetrically relative to the first wheel at the opposite end of the header and is free to caster. In the normal working position of the header the first and second wheels act as gauge wheels and are left in the direction of working movement. A third wheel which is removed in the working position is attached to the cutter bar by a clamping action over the knife guard and behind the knife support plate at a respective one of the forwardly extending support arms of the header frame.

  • Patent number: 5957818
Abstract: A squat rack is provided for supporting a bar of weights on a person's neck and shoulders during a squatting exercise. The squat rack includes a neck member arranged to rest on a base of a person's neck and a back member spaced below the neck member being arranged to rest across the person's back. A pair of shoulder members are connected between the neck and back members near respective ends of each of the members. Each shoulder member extends upwards past the neck member and curves forward following an arc arranged to rest on one of the shoulders to terminate at an end extending downwards. A pair of handles are mounted on the respective ends of the shoulder members. A pair of spacer members extend upwards from respective ends of the neck member for mounting a bar support member thereon. The bar support member extends laterally outwards past the respective ends of the neck member. A pair of clamps are mounted at respective ends of the bar support member for securing the bar of weights thereon.
