  • Patent number: 6080015
Abstract: A connector for coaxial cables having an inner conductor (14) and an outer conductor (10) separated by a dielectric (16) includes a front body (4) to attach a coaxial cable in the connector and a rear body (8) adapted for connection to the front body (4), and a device for holding the cable in the connector in a manner that permits reproducible deformation of the outer conductor (10) during the connecting operation. The device for holding the cable in position is comprised of a ferrule (1) for holding the coaxial cable, and a bushing (2) that cooperates with the ferrule (1) to permit axial movement of the coaxial cable over a determined distance (L) in the connector during the connecting operation. The surfaces of ferrule (1) and bushing (2) cooperate to produce reproducible compression and/or deformation of the outer conductor (10) between said ferrule (1) and said bushing (2) during said connecting operation.

  • Patent number: 5985993
Abstract: A method for preparing a polybutadiene latex comprises providing an emulsion polymerization medium by reacting water, butadiene monomers, a surfactant, a chain transfer agent, an initiator and an electrolyte, preferably at a temperature of about 60.about.80.degree. C., preferably for about 8.about.16 hours, and agglomerating the resulting emulsion polymerization medium, preferably at a temperature of about 5.about.20.degree. C. higher than the polymerization temperature, preferably for about 4.about.12 hours by adding a surfactant and an agglomerating agent to the emulsion polymerization medium in consecutive order. The agglomerating agent is prepared a method comprising a first step of forming agglomerating seeds by batch polymerization of an alkyl acrylate of C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.12, an anionic surfactant and an anionic initiator, a second step of growing the agglomerating agent in semi-batch polymerization by adding an alkyl acrylate of C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.

  • Patent number: 5875772
Abstract: The invention barbecue apparatus with an air-permeable holder for ignition material for fuel in the fireplace to be suspended in a tubular stand of the barbecue apparatus. A reservoir for liquid fire extinguishing material and/or for collecting ashes can be provided in the tubular stand, whereby the reservoir with fire extinguishing material contributes to a lowering of the center of gravity of the apparatus. A removable support grating for solid fuel can be provided in the fireplace. The barbecue apparatus can include a cover so that in case of unexpected falling, the barbecue apparatus tips over in the direction of the cover and the solid fuel lands in the cover.

  • Patent number: 5834558
Abstract: A styrenic thermoplastic resin composition comprising a mixture of: (A) 50-90 wt % of a styrenic polymer; (B) 5-35 wt % of a chlorinated polyethylene; (C) 5-35 wt % of a modified ethylene-propylenic rubber; and (D) 0-10 wt % of vinyl graft copolymer has superior weather resistance and mechanical properties such as impact strength and tensile properties. The resin composition also provides improved layer peeling tendency which is one of the most troublesome problems in conventional resins such as acrylonitrile-chlorinated polyethylene-styrene resins.

  • Patent number: 5701984
Abstract: The present invention relates to a synchronizer for automobile transmissions. The invention provides a synchronizer in which the stroke of the shift lever is shorter for the same synchronizing time and the shift lever is operated by a smaller operating force to give convenient operation. By forming a friction surface at the outer circumference of the sleeve, the friction is located at the farthest position from the center line of the synchronizer so that the friction force is increased. At the same time, the pitch circle diameter of the power transmission spline is the largest so that the width of the synchronizer is reduced and the time required for synchronizing reduced. Also, the torque required in operating and the operating stroke are reduced remarkably whereby the enhanced performance synchronizer for automobile transmission provided.
