Abstract: A safety stud setter includes a spacer bar along with a stud flange disposed at one end of the spacer bar for abutting a first stud disposed at a right angle to a transverse stud. A stud gripper is disposed at another end of a spacer bar for positioning a second stud disposed at a right angle to the transverse stud at a preselected distance from the stud and a lever mechanism is provided for forcing the second stud against the stud base to enable nailing of the second stud to the transverse stud through the stud base without movement of the second stud from the transverse stud. Safety guides are provided for positioning a nail gun head against the stud base and preventing escape of fired nails.

Abstract: An energy conserving remote viewing system comprising an instantaneous analog video transmission camera, an analog video receiver that receives and transmits a video image to a video monitor and a remote transmitter that activates the analog video transmission camera. The remote camera device is normally in a low power, sleep mode that has a minimal power drain. The system includes a battery powered camera requiring a first voltage to operate and an RF transmitter to send an activation signal to the camera. The activation signal has a duration. A camera power circuit includes a normally sleeping signal receiving circuit and a first timer. The first timer periodically activates the signal receiving circuit to check for the presence of the activation signal and turns off the signal receiving circuit if the activation signal is not present and turns on the camera if the activation signal is present, and wherein the time the signal receiving circuit sleeps is less than the activation signal duration.

Abstract: A paint pan has a generally rectangular box shape and an inclined rub plate extends down into the pan from a front wall. A partial roof extends from the top edge of the back wall, and a partial opening is formed generally above the rub plate and between the top edge of the front wall and the partial roof. When the pan is in a “use” position, paint may be poured into the pan through the partial open roof and it will flow to the floor. The pan is dimensioned so that a roller brush may be inserted through the partial opening to the floor of the pan beneath the partial roof. A handle is provided on the front wall and when the pan is lifted by the handle, paint flows into a storage volume defined in part by the floor, a left wall, a right wall, the back wall and partial roof.

Abstract: A fixture for use in taking X-ray images of children comprising; a base including cylinder having a height adjustable piston, and at least one mounting arm. The mounting arm including a first end connected to the front wheel of a bike and a second end connected to a rear wheel of the bike. The bike including a first seat; a second seat portion supported by the mounting arm, the second seat including a back portion that is transparent to X-rays. An x-ray cassette is mounted on a swivel arm and can be positioned to take typical x-ray images of a child's torso including anterior, posterior, left lateral and right lateral. The fixture can work with any x-ray source and can work with wall mounted x-ray cassettes as well.

Abstract: A log based building system including a plurality of logs having different lengths and a square cross section; at least one connector having an opening sized to slide over an end of a stack of at least two logs and thereby clamp the at least two logs together. The two logs can include notches that allow a third log to be clamped in place by the connector, this arrangement allows for building toys with long reach arms.

Abstract: A processor for vacuum distillation of whole tires including; an insulated housing having a door on one end, and rails on a lower surface of the housing to support a cart loaded with whole tires. A plurality of first heat tubes arranged around and spaced from a central radiant heat tube, the central radiant heat tube having an unsupported end adjacent the door such that whole tires loaded on the cart and through the door will pass over the central radiant heat tube such that the central radiant heat tube is located in a central opening of each tire on the cart.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, the present invention relates to poker dice and methods of gameplay using poker dice that (i) allows game participants to roll all of the common poker hands (high card, pair, two pair, three of a kind, straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, straight flush, royal flush), in an efficient manner, (ii) enhances the gameplay of the poker-related dice game by using six-sided dice, and (iii) enhances the gameplay of the poker-related dice game by allowing wildcards to be incorporated into the poker dice.

Abstract: A solar power arrangement for converting solar energy into electricity comprising; a solar chimney, the chimney having a flared base spaced from the ground the chimney including a transparent surface to allow solar energy to heat air within the solar chimney. A first air turbine drives a first generator, and the chimney including an exhaust. The first air turbine drives an air compressor and wherein the compressor includes an ambient air intake and a plurality of pipes for receiving compressed attached to the solar chimney. A plurality of heliostats focus solar energy on the pipes to heat the compressed air contained therein and a second turbine driven by expansion of the compressed air wherein the second turbine drives a second generator.

Abstract: A hand held percussion musical instrument including: a thin walled resonance chamber and a first rigid coil having a first end attached to the resonance chamber such as by welding. The first rigid coil has a length perpendicular to the surface of the resonance chamber and; the first coil includes a plurality of individual wire wraps each wrap spaced from adjacent wraps. A second end of the first coil is spaced from the resonance chamber such that striking the first coil produces first musical tones amplified by said resonance chamber. The resonance chamber can be held between the user's thumb and middle finger such that the coil can be struck or filtered by the user's index finger during play.

Abstract: A gun concealment garment such as a vest including a vest side including an outer layer and an inner liner connected at an arm hole and a center seam, the outer layer and the inner liner forming a concealing pocket. A concealed holster pocket within the concealing pocket, the concealed holster pocket adapted to hold a gun. The concealed holster pocket supported from the center seam such that the weight of a gun carried in the concealed holster pocket is supported directly by the shoulder of a wearer reducing the tendency for the gun to map and increasing the comfort of a wearer.

Abstract: An elastomer fishing lure skirt comprising a silicone based elastomer substrate having a rough side wherein the substrate is separated into a plurality of filaments. The lure skirt further comprises an adhesive such as Chemlock 697, RTV adhesive, Lock Tight, or combinations thereof. The lure skirt further comprises a biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate polyester film having a metalized foil, colored foil, holographic film, or combinations thereof bonded to its surface. Additionally, the lure skirt includes a means for semi-permanently binding the filaments together to form said lure skirt.

Abstract: An extendable trailer comprising wheels carrying a fixed frame, and a fixed support tube carrying a plurality of bearings that support an extendable support tube passing through said fixed support tube. A portion of a trailer hitch supported on the extendable support tube and a fixed pipe carried inside the extendable support tube protecting wires for trailer lights and accessories. The trailer has a first extended position where the tongue is extended and the length of the trailer is the greatest and a second position where the tongue is collapsed back into the trailer.

Abstract: A system of building concrete homes and apartment buildings. The system creates a structure that is well insulated and that is very practical and economical to build. The system uses standard components such as wall ties, concrete forms, rigid foam insulation, and concrete, all of which are readily available in the market today. The system creates a building that is insulated and thermally broken at its structural connections such that use in temperate and colder climates is possible. Presently concrete construction finds only limited use for the construction of single family and multi-family housing. The system is economical to construct when compared to wood frame housing.

Abstract: A processor and process method for preparing pre-cooked ground meat. An augered heated tube allows meat to be cooked as it is tumbled and moved through the tube. The cooked ground meat can be mechanically degreased through a mechanical process such as spinning to provide a meat product that has a controlled fat content. Then the meat can be packaged and irradiated to provide a pre-cooked meat product that is easy to use and that has a long shelf life.

Abstract: A freezeless hydrant having an inlet and outlet, the hydrant including an elongated pipe connecting a valve to an operator. A stem has a length and has a first end engaged with operator threads and a second end carrying a stopper portion of the valve. A portion of the stem engages projections on an inner portion of the pipe such that the valve operator stem is held against rotational movement. The stopper portion includes a first and second seal face such that rotational movement of the operator results in longitudinal movement of the stem and in closing of the valve by moving the stopper portion and the first seal face into compressive sealing engagement with a face of a reduced diameter portion of the pipe and the second seal into movable frictional engagement with an inner diameter of the reduced diameter portion. The hydrant can be mounted in a hydrant box on the exterior of a structure.
