  • Patent number: 5927085
Abstract: A beverage carton dispenser for self-service coffee distribution is provided with passive thermal insulation, a locking means to prevent undesirable beverage-carton slip-out during times when a user employs a steep pouring angle. A vent aperture is provided to relieve inner-air pressure when a milk carton is being installed or removed. A pour handle and re-useable refrigerant gel are also provided. The device is simple, inexpensive and solves the problem of providing a commercially viable counter-top milk dispenser which keeps milk cold in a room-temperature environment without the use of open ice with dripping and puddling water and without active refrigeration requiring an energy input. The presence of the pour handle makes dispensing the beverage easier, safer, and more convenient and provides the user with greater control over pouring the beverage from the container.

  • Patent number: 5754107
Abstract: In an apparatus and method for deterring and preventing forced entry intrusion into residential and commercial premises, the apparatus is a combination vertically operated dead bolt door lock surrounded by an alarm housing having battery means, a loud speaker, and a contact switch. The lock striker plate is mounted to the door frame as usual, but the lock is not mounted to the door at all, but rather is attached in suspension within the alarm housing. The alarm housing is attached to the door, and the lock within the housing is offset so as to float in spaced-apart relationship from the door on which the alarm housing is installed. Upon an intrusion effort, the door, together with the alarm housing will be shoved inward toward the premises by the intruder. But the lock floating within the alarm housing will be restrained by its engagement with the striker plate mounted to the door frame.

  • Patent number: 5511341
Abstract: An automatic house plant watering system is provided allowing the user to control a constant slow flow of irrigating water to house plants during the extended absence of the user. User adjustable valves control the gravity outflow of water from a reservoir in the preferred embodiment, and a perforated threaded reservoir fill plug having a central bore for air pressure regulation is used to expose the fill hole and also for controlling atmospheric air inflow to the reservoir as an additional means of controlling the outflow of water. The user thus control irrigation flow by adjusting the at least one outflow valve and also by adjusting air inlet through the threaded fill plug. Conical ridged nipples on the at least one irrigation water outflow valve provides a friction fit for suitable flexible tubing to conduct water to individual plants to be watered. The present invention may be provided with casters, pull handles, a rolling cart, an air pump for positive reservoir air pressure, and a lamp mounting bracket.

  • Patent number: 5240778
Abstract: A flexible multi-layered transfer film medium for computer-aided sign-making is provided in which the letter or graphic making medium is genuine gold film. The genuine gold film is highly fade resistant in use due to its natural resistance to attack by ultra violet light. The genuine gold film will not fade under normal exposure to UV light for long periods of time. The genuine gold film is to be cut using a computer-aided sign making system.
