  • Patent number: 8299719
Abstract: The present invention is an individually selective intelligent serial lighting system, wherein lighting elements are arranged in a specific configuration so that unknown location and identity of each randomly distributed registered integrated circuit switch device, which drives lighting elements, is automatically detected, recorded and addressed. A controller, individually controls every single LED, or other lighting element distributed along the length of lighting string with fixed set of wires. Each lighting element is mounted on or connected to and driven from a Switch PCB, consisting an integrated circuit switch, each programmed or lasered with a unique serial number, with at least two ports and a communication protocol. Software routines are intelligent in a sense that find position of each individual lighting element when any existing or new lighting element or cable assembly is attached to or detached from the system whether in operation and alive or upon power up.

  • Patent number: 8234180
Abstract: A Dynamic property buying and selling system is described. The system is comprised of networked hardware, software, processes and methods that enable an auction like system to inform buyers, sellers and interested third parties of current market information and dynamics. The described system may be used in real estate and other markets to complete early stages of a negotiation process as well as enable buyers and sellers to test for market information. Third party observers may use the system to investigate and report on market information and test economic theories regarding the market of interest. An integrated expert system is useful to buyers, sellers and third party observers in providing answers to queries regarding correlation of auction parameters and optimization of parameters for particular desired outcomes. Controls are integrated into the system to help ensure reliability and accuracy of the results and information by blocking observed detrimental activity.

  • Patent number: 7864452
Abstract: A wide angle lens especially suitable for digital single lens reflex cameras is described. The lens offers the advantages of superior performance while using fewer lens elements thus reducing size and cost to manufacture. The lens consists of two lens groups separated by an aperture stop. The first lens group consists of a meniscus lens and the novel use of a bi-concave lens element. The first group may also include a cemented doublet with novel ratios of refractive index and Abbe numbers. Embodiments of the wide angle lens satisfy conditional equations of 6?BFL/f?7.5 and 10<?d/f?21, where BFL is the distance from the most image side lens element surface to the image plane with the lens focused at infinity, f is the effective focal length of the wide angle lens and ?d is the distance from the most object side lens element surface to the most image side lens element surface.

  • Patent number: 7812960
Abstract: A new optical ultrasonic analysis transducer is described. The device includes a new detection means for the reflected ultrasound signal. The detector may be incorporated into a microchip design. The detector is compatible with a variety of material and design geometries that may be optimized for the particular application. Versions of the device may optionally include both excitation and receiving elements on the same device or these elements may be separate. Example designs are shown with applications to continuous wave ultrasound analysis useful for example in Doppler fluid flow measurements. Other designs are shown with multiple arrays and multiple excitation transducers to allow flexible three-dimensional imaging apparatus to be built. An equivalent circuit analysis of the frequency response and signal sensitivity provides means to customize material selection and other design parameters for particular applications.

  • Patent number: 7614401
Abstract: A nasal cannula that combines extremely flexible tubing and a novel vee-shaped nosepiece that fits the contour of the face and provides a stable footing and is self-righting because more than half its weight is below the tubing attachment points. Gas delivery prongs are molded at an angle relative to the body to direct gas into the center of the nostrils. The tubing is made from ultra-high molecular weight PVC resin with hardness between 40 and 75 Shore A.
