  • Patent number: 7671579
Abstract: Delay associated with each of two signals along respective transmission paths is accurately measured using a delay measurement circuit that is fabricated in situ on the actual device where the circuitry for propagating the two signals is fabricated. Thus, the measured delay associated with each of the two signals is subject to the same fabrication-dependent attributes that affect the actual circuitry through which the two signals will be propagated during operation of the device. The skew between the two signals is quantified as the difference in the measured delays. Coarse and fine delay modules are defined within the transmission path of each of the two signals. Based on the measured skew between the two signals, the coarse and fine delay modules are appropriately set to compensate for the skew. The appropriately settings for the coarse and fine delay modules can be stored in non-volatile memory elements.

  • Patent number: 7617324
Abstract: An invention is disclosed for a computer protocol that facilitates provisioning services to client devices. The computer protocol includes discovery transactions that allow a client device to retrieve information regarding services available to the client device from a provisioning server. A service comprises a plurality of content files capable of being installed on the client device. The computer protocol also includes subscription transactions that allow the client device to manage content in service directories. A service directory comprises a plurality of services. Further included in the computer protocol are delivery transactions that allow the client device to downloading of data related to services.

  • Patent number: 7536722
Abstract: An authentication system includes a smart access card issued to a user, a client computer, a desktop authentication module configured to prevent a user from accessing resources of the client computer prior to successful completion of a two factor authentication; a card reader interface providing communication between the smart access card and the desktop authentication module; and an enrollment server for enrolling the access card into a server data store. The smart access card has an authentication credential comprising an authentication certificate and a card unique identifier. The enrollment server is in communication with the desktop authentication module via a network connection for receiving the authentication credential from the smart access card and performing two factor authentication for a user, the two factor authentication using the authentication credential prior to the enrolling.
