Abstract: An auxiliary fuse block for use with an automotive electrical system having a battery and an integral fuse block including, in combination, a housing of electrically non-conductive material having disposed therein an electrically conducting bus bar and a plurality of recesses. Each of the recesses is adapted to releasably retain therein a fuse. Each of the fuses have a first end electrically connected to the bus bar and a second opposite end electrically connected to an electrically isolated binding post. The bus bar is directly electrically connected to the battery in parallel with the integral fuse block. The housing has at least one hole in it adapted to receive a fastener, as a bolt or a screw, for releasably attaching the housing to the car body. A transparent cover is provided to protect the fuses and permit their inspection while in the housing.

Abstract: In an umbrella having a generally vertical two-part central shaft with a first fixed lower support post, and a second upper support post, which is pivotally attached to the upper end of the lower support post, an openable closeable umbrella cover carried by the upper end of the upper post, and a runner adapted to be driven upward along the lower support post and over the juncture of the two support posts onto the upper post for expanding the cover a drive gear tram is included for raising the runner and another second gear for tilting the upper support post relative to the lower support post including, also, a first gear rack extending from the juncture of the two support posts downward along the lower support post and is secured thereto. A second gear rack extends from the juncture upward along the upper post and is secured thereto. The two gear racks are substantially contiguous when the upper post is in vertical alignment with the lower post.

Abstract: Gate valve means connected in a waste pipe system have a hollow housing with an inlet and an outlet connected to the waste pipe system. A blade is disposed in the housing at a substantially right angle to the waste pipe system and is selectively movable between a closed position blocking the inlet from the outlet, and an open position allowing waste flow between the inlet and outlet. The blade moves between the open and closed positions and a pair of seals are disposed in the housing in an abutting relationship aligned to receive the blade therebetween when in the closed position and to seal waste flow between the inlet and outlet from the interior of the housing when the blade is in the open position. Each of the pair of seals has a unique design enabling it to mechanically rotate with the blade, thereby limiting wearing forces thereon.

Abstract: The present invention provides a handle assembly for umbrellas, or the like, which comprises: a head member adapted to attach to one end of a central rod of an umbrella; at least two arms pivotally mounted on said head member to swing in their respective radial planes through arcs of about 135 degrees, from an inoperative, folded position extending generally parallel a longitudinal axis of said central rod to an operative, unfolded position, extending away from said longitudinal axis in a predetermined angular relation to said axis and capable of acting as a hanger for clothing in this operative, unfolded position; means attached to said head member for hanging said umbrella.
