Abstract: The present invention relates to a gaming system and a method of gaming that includes a wheel game. A displayed representation of the wheel game is a wheel having a number of segments. Each segment is associated with a particular game outcome and an indicator indicates the segment with the selected game outcome for a particular game. At least one of the segments is associated with a game outcome which requires a further play of the wheel game. Outcomes of the wheel game are adjusted before play of the further game, which is then played including the adjusted available game outcomes. In an embodiment, the game outcomes are adjusted by multiplication factor, which is determined by a further selector, in an embodiment represented as a die at the centre of the wheel.

Abstract: A gaming system is provided having a display and a game controller. The system implements a game wherein random events are caused to be displayed on the display and, if a predefined winning event results, the system awards a prize. A feature game of the gaming system includes a series of prize outcomes and a series of intervening games, which provide a player with a chance of advancing to a subsequent prize outcome in the event of a winning outcome in an intervening game. A monitoring means may be provided for monitoring and indicating the number of non-winning game outcomes and triggering a penalty event in the event of the non-winning outcomes exceeding a threshold number. In another aspect, a prize outcome of a feature is a progressive prize and a progressive prize modifier for modifying the progressive prize before awarding the prize.

Abstract: Disclosed is a wireless communication system that is used with a wireless communication device and a position location system, the wireless communication device being capable of communicating with the position location system. The wireless communication system includes a memory device for storing position locations of the wireless communication device and for storing transactions made relating to the wireless communication device, a processor for determining trends by recalling stored information from the memory device and processing the recalled information, and a transmitter for transmitting targeted broadcasts to the wireless communication device based on the current location of the communication device.
Abstract: A hybrid cordless telephone system allows a user to place or receive a call over either a data network or a PSTN network. In one aspect, a system router and PSTN unit are coupled with a communications manager to avoid extensive redesign of router components and PSTN components while providing a wireless user with data network and PSTN connectivity. In another aspect, the system router of the hybrid cordless telephone system includes a communications manager configured to provide termination of data network calls or PSTN calls at the system router. Accordingly, a plurality of handsets can each access the system router to place or receive calls from the data or PSTN networks.
Abstract: Receiver architectures and methods of processing harmonic rich input signals employing harmonic suppression mixers are disclosed herein. The disclosed receivers, mixers, and methods enable a receiver to achieve the advantages of switching mixers while greatly reducing the mixer response to the undesired harmonics. A harmonic mixer can include a plurality of mixers coupled to an input signal. A plurality of phases of a local oscillator signal can be generated from a single local oscillator output. Each of the phases can be used to drive an input of one of the mixers. The mixer outputs can be combined to generate a frequency converted output that has harmonic rejection.

Abstract: An electronic infrastructure consisting a plurality of client mobile devices, a distribution server and network that communicatively couples the plurality of client mobile devices and distribution server, wherein the distribution server collects survey questionnaires from a questionnaire source, distributes survey questionnaire to the plurality of client mobile devices. Then, the distribution server receives responses from the users of plurality of client mobile devices and analyses the responses based upon several criteria. The questionnaire source is a user of the distribution server who delivers survey questionnaire. The criteria includes region based analysis, race based analysis, age based analysis, other criteria based analysis, high priority analysis and/or satisfaction level analysis. The survey questionnaire may be presented as one question per screen with multi choice answers, or multiple questions per screen in a tabular form.
Abstract: According to embodiments of the present invention, a flameless candle includes a slide member including a protrusion and a nose. The flameless candle also includes a base including a radial aperture in a horizontal plane. The radial aperture is configured to receive the protrusion and permit a movement of the slide member in a corresponding radial direction. The slide member has an ON position when the protrusion is located at an inwards position along the radial direction. The slide member also has an OFF position when the protrusion is located at an outwards position along the radial direction. The flameless candle also includes a battery contact including a rotatable portion and a mechanical contact portion. In an embodiment, the rotatable portion is configured to rotate in a vertical plane.
Abstract: A method and system for coupling optical signals into silicon optoelectronic chips are disclosed and may include coupling one or more optical signals into a back surface of a CMOS photonic chip comprising photonic, electronic, and optoelectronic devices. The devices may be integrated in a front surface of the chip and one or more grating couplers may receive the optical signals in the front surface of the chip. The optical signals may be coupled into the back surface of the chip via one or more optical fibers and/or optical source assemblies. The optical signals may be coupled to the grating couplers via a light path etched in the chip, which may be refilled with silicon dioxide. The chip may be flip-chip bonded to a packaging substrate. Optical signals may be reflected back to the grating couplers via metal reflectors, which may be integrated in dielectric layers on the chip.
